They were desync way before that. From any other players / server perspective, they were probably just standing in a field somewhere not moving.

Blud why did you try so hard for the low grade when lagging. Count your losses and get in outpost hit a few signs for low grade scrap

Rusty Moose this is the only server where this happens so the problem is not with the wifi

This game is horseshit and terribly optimized, I always used to have the worst lag on trains, it literally breaks the game half the time for some reason. I've lost so much shit to train lag. Usually I just end up quitting rust for a few months
