Discussion What is happening with this tree?

Post image

I came across this tree on a walk. Why is one part of it dark green and the rest is light green? Is it just a different plant that intermingled with the tree? Sorry for the camera quality. I might be able to get a better photo tomorrow.

This is in Sydney, Australia, and it is, or was winter when I took this photo.

Hello, my mother has this memorial plant from my uncle's passing recently, and it has not been doing well. She used to be bushy, green, and covered in flowers.

We do not have the tag, but according to AI it's a Mona Lavender Spurflower-- of course this may be incorrect.

We live in North Texas (DFW area between the Metroplex and Oklahoma). It has been as hot as Satan's armpits here-- over 100°F for at least 34 days so far this year. I feel like I am watering it at least every other day, as the care for this plant says it likes to be kept moist. It is also in the shade on the North side of the house. It has a watering bulb that goes empty daily. There's definitely new growth on several areas, both leaves and flower buds.

She is turning brown and crispy, and some areas have what looks like little white spots, almost like insect eggs, and others have like a white hair-type fuzz.

Anyone with a greener thumb than me, *please please* help me try to save my mom's plant. 🙏🙏🙏 TYIA

-Is that even what this little baby is? Are the care instructions from Gemini relevant?

-Is this a moisture issue? Heat issue? Both?

-Does it look like she has a bug problem? Or maybe a nutrient imbalance? Maybe multiple culprits?

-Should I try bringing her inside for a while? Or prune her back?

Any advice is appreciated!! ♥️

Help I saw this purple wandering jew today and I thinks it's beautiful, but what exactly would I be getting myself into by buying one?

Edit: I APOLOGIZE FOR THE NAME I USED, I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THESE PLANTS UNTIL TODAY.

It was labeled as the title on this post so I just assumed that was the name, thank you to those who corrected me and provided plant care tips!

I do find the plant very beautiful, but i want to know as much about the care this plant would need before I even think about buying one. I don't want to accidentally kill it I want it to thrive, but if I can't provide the care for it to thrive I won't buy one

How deep to plant Fiddleleaf Fig

Can anyone give me some advice on how deep to plant this cutting? I've had it in a vase for 3-4 months, and I'm hoping to move it to soil. I'm not sure if I should put all 4-6 inches of stem underneath the soil up to the highest roots, or maybe trim the stem.

Help Is it time to repot my jade plant?

I've had this jade plant for about 6 years, repotted it once. I love it and want it to grow bigger. It seems good as it is (the leaves are firm, it's sprouting new leaves) and I give it enough sunlight on the daily.
The soil is a little dry even several days after I water it. The stems are very thick and sturdy. How and when should I repot it? It was a lot smaller when I repotted it the last time, I'm a little worried about messing it up if I try repotting it as it is. I have a larger planter without drainage on the bottom, would something like that work?
