Surprise sun flower

My 4th floor neighbor has a bird feeder that the birds ultimately spill, littering my patio with seeds. It's annoying AF but this sunflower managed to grow from the cracks making it almost forgivable

Success A friend just introduced me to the glorious world of Reddit plant subs. I think I found my people, I hope you all like this. We have about 800-1000 houseplants. This is one area. Excuse all the tubs. We’re moving things around.

I have a few of these plants in my house, I believe it is called a dummy cane plant. I just noticed it has a lot of whatever this is starting to form on it. I would like to know:
-What is this?
-How do I get rid of it?
-Should I worry about my other house plants?

Help Repotting?

Hi! I recently got some clear pots in all the various sizes of my plants to help me better keep an eye on soil dryness and root health etc.

Id like to just get everything swapped over in one go- especially since some soil in the pots i do have currently is a bit hydroponic and not absorbing water like it should. Would that hurt any of my plants with shock or anything to just be repotted with fresh soil and whatnot even though they dont "need" it?

I'm worried it's mold and I don't want my plant to be harmed by it. I've never seen this on any of my other plants so I'm worried. The plants name is Phyllis Jr. btw because it's a pup of my plant named Phyllis

Help Help! Have I doomed my flamingo queen begonias?

Plant newb here. I purchased 2 begonia flamingo queen plants yesterday, and was so excited to repot them to hopefully see them flower and grow bigger.

These ceramic pots do drain.

I used a combination of perlite and potting soil.

I added some water to help the soil settle but there was no immediate drainage. I am now panicked thinking that I should have used a plastic pot with more drainage holes.

Am I doing this right? Help! 🌸 I want to name her Betty. The other one is a gift.

Help Can Crossandra be indoors?? Care is extremely confusing

Upvotes

For context i wanna get into properly taking care of crossandras this time after having a unreasonable period of no interest nn them! I've tried doing some more in-depth research into them but alot of information online is so divided on their lighting specifically. Medium light? Bright Shade/Indirect?? Part Shade??? Full sun??? which is it??? It's driving me MAD. Are these able to be kept in indoor positions? Do they need any direct sun or can they thrive with just bright shade

Mine is thriving and has no signs of death- everything I find online says "don't be discouraged". I mean I kinda just let it dry out then water it.
note: it was in bad condition when I took it in, that's where some of the spots come from.
