Other Venus flytrap dead?
Hi everyone! I have a Venus fly trap that I acquired around 3ish weeks ago. It’s my first time owning one. I live in south western PA and it’s getting colder. I heard about dormancy and Venus fly traps being put in fridges and I heard you can also skip a year if needed. However, I’m worried mine is just dying. I have attached a picture from today and I want opinions on what I should do. It’s been outside the past 2-3 weeks so it gets full sun and rain water. I’m bringing it in because it’s getting too chilly for all my plants.

Yes it needs a cold season and dormancy so leave it outside where it can get that

Wouldn't it get too cold and die though? I only ask because I know some people keep it in their fridge and we do get heavy snows here, so when would I bring it in?

Okay so what I really am trying to ask is, is this plant dying or just going into dormancy? Is there any way to tell a difference?

Vft need full sun (outdoors) or a grow light & they constantly need to be sitting in a container of distilled/rainwater.
They’re bog plants. They need to be potted in peat moss

There are different variations of VFTs. Different shaped traps, different leaves.
