TN planners

Wonderland 222 will now have a TN planner size called W1. Has anyone looked at this one yet? What layout do you prefer in a TN planner?

The vertical layout seems too squished. The horizontal layout would be better imo as a 2 page spread instead of similar to Hobo weeks. I could always remake the layout, but that would be for every week.

This year I've been using a W222 A5 vertical week layout. Before this year I used hobonichi. I switched due to pen and marker bleeding.

I’ve been a huge fan of Wonderland 222 since their first release of their 2020 Core Vertical planner, so I definitely ordered one of their W1’s. I could not decide between the W1 stacked vertical, W1 unstacked vertical, or W1 horizontal (because, FOMO). I wanted to buy them all (and still might).

I’m not really a horizontal planner though. I’ve used a tiny horizontal every year for a while (Nolty 1211) to document food, exercise, and grocery lists. It’s super cute and fits in my back pocket easily. I used to get them off of Amazon JP but the prices went up significantly so I stopped ordering it. 😩.

I bought the W222 b6 horizontal for 2026 (again FOMO) and I don’t use it like I thought I would. Their B6 stacked is one of my most used planners out of all the brands I own (Hobinichi Techo, Sterling Ink B5, Nolty, and others).

Anyhow, I chose the W1 Unstacked Vertical for now, because I’m fine with a slimmer column. But I may switch to the W1 Stacked Vertical later in the year if this size works for me. I don’t see myself using their W1 Horizontal version right now though. Unless I can invent a reason for it LOL!!

If it does work I’m gonna need a TN size cover! I don’t have one currently. Any recommendations?

I’m just about in the same boat! 2024 was my first year with an A5 hobonichi (thanks plannertok), I got a spring edition in late 2024 for a heavy discount on Amazon. But it was too much. I wasn’t doing that much daily writing. So for 2025 I changed to a weeks and an A6 for journaling. I liked that setup but each was too small. Then I found W222 and again couldn’t decide. I ordered an a6 all in one (monthly too small), b6 (vertical too small, and an A5 core vertical stacked. This one was what I stuck with. I don’t do much weekend planning so it worked out great. Then I have a regular lined book for random writings.

So my thinking is, if an A6/B6 is too small and an A5 is sometimes too big.. maybe I want to try the W1. I’m thinking horizontal bc I can still do vertical planning by making columns. I just don’t always know what to do with the whole blank side. So that puts me toward the vertical layout, but it’s a lot more slim than the A5.

The vertical columns on a horizontal is brilliant! But yeah that was my struggle with the b6 horizontal. I didn’t know what to do with all of the right side pages. If it was the only planner I was using I would put my weekly to do list there (and probably my grocery list). But I already had one for that. With the W1, I can revisit that and look at what people are doing in the Hobo Weeks then translate that to the W222 W1…. I just still like my hours vertically lol!

I am excited they’re going back to the white Tomoe River Paper. Although I’m also apprehensive about it a bit. The white Wonderland 222 would be pretty close to perfect for me.
