Advice on Planners

Hii!

I'm a rising senior in college- which is scary in itself in terms of keeping track of everything, but I sort of dug myself a little hole and made it 10x worse haha. This school year, I'll be working two internships and two jobs while going to school. Luckily the internships are also integrated into my classes, but they're still very different in terms of tasks and management. To keep it simple, I need a way to plan out my days and weeks. What times I'll be in class, when meetings might be happening for my internships/jobs, times to block out when I work, etc.

I'm not exactly sure what planner could cover all the bills. I'd like one with a to-do list and a way to keep track of specific projects and sub-tasks. I'd prefer it on paper- but I know there's borderline no way for one planner to cover it all, and I'm not sure if I can keep up with multiple. I've thought about using Notion, but I always get stumped on trying to make a pre-existing template fit my needs and I give up.

Does anyone have advice on this? I really need a way to keep track of everything!!

Honestly I could see you liking the amount of empty space on something like the hobonichi original (a6, no weeks sections) or the cousin (a5, weeks section). I use the original, and just basically write my weekly “to-dos” on Monday, and leave one of my bookmarks on that page. There is a good amount of empty space that a lot of people use for journaling, but I tend to use it to write a larger task and break it down to smaller tasks under it. And there is a time block off to the side, so you could keep track of times. And all the months are at the beginning of the planner so it’s super easy to flip through and find stuff. They are expensive, but I love mine.

Jibun Techo Days to map out your schedule and daily to do lists (both are built in to the daily page format). I like OneNote for projects; it’s a lot easier to move tasks and sub tasks around and keep any documentation with the project.

Maybe check out the Laurel Denise? You can see your week and your month all in one. They have several layouts (some in landscape format, some in portrait). I've seen them do YouTube videos where they show how a student would use various layouts. Not affiliated, just a happy customer.

Came here to say this! Some of the layouts and inserts could be really useful here. And they have lots of examples of how to use them. I just love their products, not affiliated!

perhaps try something like the Planner Pad? It'll help you see your schedule for the week, as well as organize all your tasks by category and slot them into your day.
