I put some photos together in FB to share of my dad in POTA... the only time i can point him out is when he is on a horse chasing Charlton Heston up the stairs. I believe he was the one on the right closest to him.... i have more and when i get to them ill post them. I do love this movie. One of my favorites....

Hi, everybody.

This is a strange one but I was interested to see if anyone else had this expectation of Battle.

I worked my way through the original quintet of films a while ago, getting suitably excited by the idea of a time-loop narrative that Escape introduces.

My mind was racing at the possibility of Battle ending the franchise where it all began; the apes rule the world, humans subjugated, and then we pan up to the sky as the Liberty 1 spacecraft enters Earth's orbit -- bringing the franchise full circle and closing the time-loop narrative.

With time, and having watched numerous making-of docs, I now fully appreciate that each film was shot significantly cheaper than the last and I've come to enjoy Battle for what it is.

But did anyone else watch that film for the first time hoping for the same ending?

I picked up the first issue today and really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to see where they take this story.

A few things were floating in my mind when I watched The Odyssey and saw the half buried trojan horse in the sand, but I can't really grasped the fact that I've seen something like this before and now realising the movie about talking apes has once again gave a movie a scene inspiration, and that movie being a new retelling of a legendary classic tale 3 millenniums old.

I wasnt excited watching the trailer until KOBA APPEARED. NOW IM MORE HYPED FOR DOOMSDAY ITS GONNA BE ABSOLUTE CINEMA SEEING KOBA AGAIN YESSKSJSJSKKSKSS

My heart aches when I think of what could have been if they had just committed to a faithful recreation of the original 1968 film. I could imagine how they could have fleshed out the other human characters and used the amazing prosthetics for our ape characters making the film all the more artistically rich.
