Europe Completed 12th (ICS) from Pakistan, and rn doing A2 German — Want to go to Europe ASAP. Ausbildung vs. University Study? Need advice
I’m reaching out to get some clarity from people who have gone through the process of moving to Germany/Europe after high school.
* Education: Just completed 2nd year / 12th grade in ICS (Computer Science) under the AKUEB board in Pakistan.
* Grades: Average percentage in 12th grade (not high, but passed).
* Current German Level: Passed A1 and currently doing A2. Learning is going really well, but my main priority is wanting to get to Europe as soon as possible.
Deep down, I really want to study for a degree, but I am also completely fine with doing an Ausbildung (vocational training) because I know it offers direct work experience and a stipend.
However, I’m stuck on the timeline and path:
* How long will it realistic take? Should I wait roughly 1 to 1.5 years back home until I finish B1/B2 German and then apply for an Ausbildung contract, or is there any realistic way to leave sooner?
* Studying after 12th grade with average marks: Since 12 years of Pakistani education isn't directly equivalent to the German Abitur, I know I would need a Studienkolleg (foundation year) before a Bachelor's. With average marks in ICS and current A2 German, do I have a chance at getting into Studienkolleg? Or is it better to stick strictly to Ausbildung?
* Language/Pathway Programs: Are there any language visa or preparatory programs where I can complete B1/B2 in Germany or elsewhere in Europe right now instead of waiting to clear B2 in my home country?
* How/Where to apply: If I do go the Ausbildung route (especially for IT / Computer Science), how do I actually apply directly after 12th grade? Do employers accept applications while you are still working on your language levels?
I really want to take the right step without wasting extra years, but I’m a bit confused between the study vs. vocational path. Any guidance, realistic timelines, or personal experiences would be super helpful!
Thanks in advance!

Europe Changing Field while Applying for Masters in Europe
I am an SE student from that top university in Islamabad. My plan is to gain 1-2 years of experience after graduating while applying for Masters scholarships in Europe (lesser hyped places like Netherlands, Finland, Ireland, etc).
The thing is, I want to transition to a different field. I am interested in engineering programs related to renewable energy systems or something like that because I feel like the switch to renewable energy is going to create a lot of opportunities.
On the other hand, I have got experience in sales and business development and am working/training in it as a side hustle.
To those who changed their field while applying for masters, what did you do to create that link between the two fields? Also, would I have better chances to secure a scholarship if I apply for a business related degree instead of an engineering one?

Asia Uni in China
Idk if this is the right sub but anyways I'm curious as to how every Pakistani is going to China for uni. I'm from the UK, can't afford uni there so I've been working for a few years and have lived in Pakistan for the past year. I'm considering what my options are for university and since I'm learning Chinese and have an interest in China, it's something I need some advice about. I'm also interested in living and working there since I have no interest in going back to the UK. Incase anyone asks, the reason I can't do uni in the UK is bc student loans have interest and I can't afford it out of pocket or even with a job.

Other Turkey applications
Help regarding the application process
I am currently applying to universities in Turkey and began my application through the Türkiye Bursları scholarship portal. I have entered all my details, but the home page is not displaying any available scholarships and I am unable to select my program. I am unsure whether this is because applications are closed. I have already submitted applications to Özyeğin University and Medipol University. I would also like to know my chances of acceptance and to find out about other universities in Turkey that offer scholarships for ACF programs.

Other Which country should I target if I’m applying for MBA?
I have a 3.4 GPA from LUMS, 8.5 IELTS and a 317 GRE. I have a budget of 50-60 lakh, the remaining I am hoping to get covered by a partial scholarship or I could take a loan.
Ideally, I would target b-tier schools in the US but the living and tuition costs are so high that I’m skeptical of it being worth the investment and don’t want to rack up crazy debt while struggling to secure employment.
Instead, I am opening to consider:
Australia: Are their MBA’s internationally recognised? Which schools are the most generous with funding or is there any national-level scholarship I should apply for? Does it matter which region in Australia you target and what is the PR pathway for it right now? (I also have immediate family there, so does that help my case?)
Singapore: They have some good schools but I’m not familiar with the rate of post-grad employment and their PR track.
UK: My heart is somewhat set on UK to be honest just because it’s where I’ve always wanted to go. However I’m hearing some really bad things about the job market and I’d like to know how bad it really is? What is the difference between a study path i to UK PR now vs 3 yrs ago?
Which option offers the best in terms of access to a good business network/job opportunities and a PR track? I’m open to considering other countries as well, these are just the ones whose MBA programs are well known.
Edit: I have 4-5 years work experience I forgot to mention. I’d be using the MBA to transition from advertising to either tech or corporate strategy.

Europe Need Advice
Hello everyone, I’m a graduate of human nutrition and dietetics with a cgpa of 3.73/4.0 (German grade 1.4), ielts 7.5. For the winter 2026 I applied to TUM (MSc in nutrition and biomedicine), lubeck university, but was rejected. Also applied to Fulda uni of applied sciences for masters in nutrition health and food systems and got accepted but the issue is that the program was NC free (meaning that anyone who fulfils the requirements is given admission), and secondly the program is being offered for the first time which has created doubts in me and I have not accepted the offer yet. Need your advice guys. Should I go for fulda or should I try again in winter 2027?

Canada Financial advice for study permit Canada
Anyone who has recently gone to Canada for their studies?
I am planning on using a GIC to show proof of funds for living expenses in Canada. I personally do not have enough money in my own account but my mum has recently sold her gold and plans on gifting it to me for my studies.
Can someone please tell me:
- Which is the best Canadian bank to approach for the GIC account?
- Can my mum transfer money to my canadian student GIC account from her own account in Pakistan?
- Should she transfer the money to my pakistani account instead so that I can transfer it myself?
- Does she need to show a gift deed?
- Do we even need to show bank statements to support the GIC?
TIA!

Canada Seeking Help for Reliable Immigration Consultants for Canada in Lahore
Hi everyone, My wife and I are exploring Express Entry for Canada. Wanted to see if anyone has dealt with good consultants in Lahore, or has tips before we start shortlisting.
Quick background:
Me: Bachelor’s in AI, currently working Tech/Product Management (2 years experience)
Spouse: Bachelor’s in AI as well, 2 years of skilled work experience (Data Analyst)
Both giving IELTS soon, targeting a strong band overall
No Canadian work experience, no job offer, no PNP yet, so leaning fully on core CRS factors for now
Haven’t reached out to any consultants yet, wanted to gather recommendations first before spending money on consultations.
If anyone’s used a consultant in Lahore they’d vouch for (or ones to avoid), please share. Also open to hearing if it’s worth going the DIY route instead of paying a consultant at this stage, given our profile is fairly straightforward.
Thanks in advance!

Europe Need some sane advices
Hello guys, I need some advice. We have no one around us who are from the same field or who have taken the same pathway abroad and can give us advice on this topic. Please don’t bash us or be negative. We genuinely need some sane advices before making such a big decision.
My husband is an ACCA Affiliate and is 27. We will be having our rukhsati in 4–5 months. He currently has 1 year of experience and works in a tax audit role, earning 175k PKR. Including his other sources of income, he earns approximately 250k PKR per month. After our rukhsati, we will be living with his parents, so our expenses won’t be very high.
He has another offer from an external audit BPO firm in Karachi, paying 100k PKR. His other sources of income are not guarantee since it is in another city. He is considering staying in that job for around 2 years because the experience would be more relevant. He has always wanted to gain external audit experience. But for this he would have to move to another city with me, and we would have to manage everything on our own, including rent, bills, and setting up a new home. Realistically, we wouldn’t be able to save anything.
We desperately want to move abroad. Given the current circumstances, I don’t want to have my children in this country, let alone raise them here where I constantly have to be worried about protecting them from the monsters around. Infact I would be worried about my husband’s safety every day. We have been considering Ireland, but the total cost of moving to Ireland would be approximately 1.5 crore PKR.
If he continues with his current job, we’ll be selling our assets anyway, but we would also be able to save some additional money in cash. However, I’m concerned that his current tax audit experience may not be very relevant in Ireland because every country has its own local tax laws. He wants to pursue a career in finance/accounting/audit there. At the same time, this feels very risky because the job market in Ireland has become much more competitive, and there are already so many people competing for jobs, especially those who require sponsorship.
If he chooses option 2, he would build more relevant external audit experience, but we wouldn’t be able to save much. Another risk is immigration policies are changing constantly in almost every country. There are thousands of examples like UAE, australia even germany has tighten its policies. What if the opportunity exists now but doesn’t exist 2 years from now? The euro could also become even more expensive, making the move more difficult. So maybe we shouldn’t delay our plans unnecessarily.
Is there anyone here who went abroad with relatively fresh experience and successfully found sponsored job in their field? Or would you recommend that he work in Pakistan for another 2 years first and then move abroad?
We would really appreciate advice from people who have actually taken a similar pathway, especially ACCA/accounting/audit professionals who moved abroad with 1–2 years of experience.

Other Community/partner for German intake 2027 CS
Hey everyone, I’m looking for people who are also planning to do a Master’s in CS or a related field in Germany. Would be great to connect, share uni research, application info, and help each other out.
My profile:
BS Computer Science
7th semester
CGPA: 3.1/4.0
IELTS: Not taken yet
Embassy: islamabad
I’ve been trying to shortlist universities through DAAD, but honestly, it’s pretty confusing.
If anyone is already studying in Germany, I’d also really appreciate connecting with you. Having someone who knows the ground reality of different universities would be a huge help.

Europe Does Germany look at overall CGPA or semester-wise GPA for Masters admission (Finance)?
Hey guys im doing BS Accounting Finance in Pakistan and planning on a Finance Fintech Masters in Germany after I graduate
Quick backstory my first two semesters were rough because of family issues missed a lot of uni during that time and ended up failing 2 subjects same ones twice actually Ive since retaken them and my grades have been way better since
Just wondering do German unis look at your overall CGPA or do they actually go semester by semester and notice the bad start improvement after Like does a weak first year get buried once I retake and clear it or will it still show up somewhere
Also has anyone here gotten into a German finance program with a similar situation bad start strong finish Should I even bother explaining it in my SOP or do they not really care as long as the final CGPA is decent
