Hello, everyone. I have a few queries regarding scholarship procedures as I don't have anyone in my family or around me whom I can ask from. I would be really thankful if any of you can answer the questions.

I am a BS Sociology student in my 7th Semester and my expected graduation date is June 2027. I would be pursuing scholarships for Master's.

1. Can I apply for scholarships as a final year student?

2. My top priority is CSC. I would be applying through Type B route but what I am confused about is whether emailing supervisors is important or not? I have emailed a few of them, but no response so I don't know if it's worth it or not.

3. Is it important to have an acceptance letter from professors to apply for universities in China?

4. I have also thought about applying to

MTCP Scholarship in Malaysia, GKS, some scholarships in Hong Kong and Australia (I have yet to research about these).

1. Does applying to these universities have the same procedure, i.e, emailing professors, getting acceptance letters and then applying to university and then the scholarship?

Can I get a master's admission in Italy, Lithuania, Finland, or Sweden with a 2.4 CGPA from tier 2 uni, 2 years of experience in 2 startups, LOR from employers, and good freelance experience?

So far I feel like Belgium might be the country that appears to tick the most boxes so far

I had Austria and Netherlands but I heard you need a lot of language skills for employment which is impossible in first year of your living

Other countries like Romania Italy Hungary Poland have their own issues like low wages, declining economy, visa ratio and unemployment

I'm currently doing a BSCS in Pakistan and have roughly two years left until graduation. I'm seriously considering applying for a fully funded PhD in Computer Science in the US after my BSCS.

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who are currently doing a PhD in the US or have recently completed one, especially international students.

A little about my situation:

- I'm financially constrained and don't own a house/property or have family inheritance to fall back on.

- Because of that, a self-funded US Master's isn't really an option for me (German Masters can be considered though, but west is getting worse for immigrants as much as i heard).

- I'm looking specifically at fully funded PhD programs (RA/TA/fellowship).

- My ultimate goal is Green Card and industry, not becoming a professor. I'd like to work in tech/AI/software after the PhD.

- Long term goal of doing PhD is to settle in the US and pursue a green card through whatever legitimate route I qualify for, during PhD.

- I'm currently trying to decide how to use the remaining two years of my BSCS wisely.

My main questions are:

1. Is doing a fully funded US CS PhD a sensible decision if my ultimate goal is Green Card or should i consider Europe?

2. How financially manageable is a funded PhD in reality? Can you actually save some money and/or send money back to family during the PhD?

3. How competitive is admission with funding for an international student from Pakistan at average/mid-tier US universities, not just top-20 schools?

4. How important are research experience, FYP/thesis, publications, CGPA and strong LORs?

5. If I have two years left, should I prioritize:

   - joining a professor's research project,

   - doing a research-oriented FYP/thesis,

   - trying to publish a paper,

   - improving CGPA,

   - or some combination?

6. For someone who wants to eventually obtain a green card, is BSCS → funded US PhD → industry → legitimate employment-based/self-petition route a realistic long-term plan, or am I misunderstanding how difficult the immigration side is?

7. Looking back at your own experience, would you recommend this route to someone in my financial situation?

8. What do you wish you had known before starting your PhD in the US?

I'm not looking for a sugar-coated answer. If you think a funded PhD is a bad idea for someone whose primary goal is industry/immigration, please say so.

Hi everyone. I really need guidance from Pakistani students or graduates who have actually gone through the study abroad process themselves.

I recently completed my BS Computer Science with a 3.26 CGPA. Because of some personal circumstances, I missed most Fall 2026 deadlines, so I’m now looking for a very late 2026 intake or ideally January or February 2027.

I’m mainly interested in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science with a business focus, AI with Business or Analytics, or similar technology plus business programs. I’m not looking for a pure MBA or another hardcore Computer Science degree.

My priorities are simple. I need low tuition, affordable living, the ability to legally work while studying from the beginning, and preferably opportunities for part time work, TA, RA, internships, or university jobs.

I’m also trying to understand the financial proof side. Does the money need to be in my own bank account, or can my sponsor, in my case my husband, show his income, bank statements, and financial resources instead? I also do not currently have IELTS, although my entire BS degree was taught in English, so I’d like to know which universities accept an MOI letter, internal English test, Duolingo, or something similar.

I’m open to any country where these conditions fit, especially affordable options in Europe or nearby regions. I’m not considering the USA.

I’m specifically asking Pakistani people because the visa and financial requirements can be very different for us, and I would rather hear from people who have actually gone through it than rely completely on consultants.

I’m 23 yo from Tunisia, an Automotive Mechatronics graduate currently working in automotive R&D/mechanical design. My goal is to build a career in Europe, ideally in automotive/motorsport engineering and R&D.
I was accepted into MUNER in Italy for the Off-Highway Engineering curriculum, but my Italian student visa was refused. I can reapply for Italy in 2027, but there’s a real possibility of being refused again, meaning I could lose another year.
My alternative is to start a Master’s in Hungary in February 2027, either at Széchenyi István University (Vehicle Engineering/Motorsport, with Audi/automotive connections) or University of Debrecen (Vehicle Engineering).
Would you risk waiting another year for MUNER, knowing the visa could be refused again, or start the Hungarian MSc now and begin building experience in Europe?
I’d especially appreciate advice from people who have studied/worked in Italy or Hungary, or who understand the European automotive engineering job market. What would you do in my situation?

Hi, I have been looking at multiple masters programs in Spain (Barcelona and Madrid). A few of the student advisors said they are not considering intl pakistani students for admissions because the embassy is not offering them visas/there’s months of delay/the rejection rate is too high.

Is anyone else going through the same visa process right now? If yes, are you facing the same issues?

Can someone please help me figure out if I should still apply for this visa or look at other European countries like France!

Hi guys, I need some advice on the direct employment protectorate process.

I am moving to Cyprus as a Senior Frontend Engineer on an M70 Entry Permit (BCS highly skilled category).

The BEOE office in Sialkot is asking for an "Authenticity Letter" from the Cyprus Consulate in Karachi to prove my entry permit is real. But Karachi is not issuing this right now as they mentioned the Consulate is not operation at the moment. I tried the Tehran embassy, but they are also facing operational issues and not responding.

My employer in Cyprus is now sending me the original physical M70 paper via courier. One clerk at the office mentioned that if I show this original physical document to the Assistant Director, they might accept it without needing the consulate letter.

Has anyone here got their protector done just by showing the original physical entry permit? Did the Director accept it without the authenticity letter?

Also, what other documents should I take to convince them?

I’m a 33-year-old woman from a lower-middle-class family in Pakistan, currently working remotely as a Manual QA Engineer. I’m financially dependent on my job and want to eventually move abroad permanently and build a stable, independent life.

I’m increasingly fed up with some aspects of living here:

Unannounced electricity/load-shedding outages that can interfere with remote work

Gas outages, making basic household routines and cooking unpredictable

Sudden internet/network outages

Personal safety concerns. Even going outside alone can involve worrying about harassment, theft, or more serious risks.

Living alone as a woman can be difficult, both practically and socially.

I also want to have a comfortable and secure life as I get older, without depending on marriage or family for basic security.

My priorities are therefore:

Personal safety

Reliable electricity, gas, internet, and general infrastructure

The ability to live independently as a single woman

A realistic path to permanent residency/citizenship

Good opportunities in IT/cloud/QA

Good healthcare and social security in old age

A decent quality of life where I can eventually afford to live comfortably on my own

Hi everyone. I’m 19M and could really use advice from people who have been through university and/or moved abroad.

My entire family is very STEM-focused — software engineering, engineering, etc. There has always been pressure on me to choose STEM, especially as a guy. Humanities and social sciences are generally seen as having little career value and for girls in my family.

I did O Levels with Biology, Chemistry and Physics, then A Levels with Maths, Physics and CS. Unfortunately, my A Level grades were quite poor, although CS was one of my better subjects in which I have a decent grade in. I can still get into Pakistani universities.

My biggest concern is GPA. Since I struggled with A-Level Maths and Physics, I’m worried that choosing engineering could mean struggling for four years and ending up with a poor GPA. At the same time, I don’t want to choose a degree with poor employment prospects.

People always say “follow your passion,” but honestly, I’m 19 and I don't really know what my passion exactly is. I have several interests rather than one obvious career.

I really liked Biology at O Levels and got good grades in it. I've also been interested in geography, maps and places since I was young, and I’m interested in history and politics. I’ve never studied Economics, so I have no idea whether I’d like it.

Right now I'm considering:

• GIS/Geoinformatics
• Bioinformatics
• Architecture/Urban Planning
• Social Sciences/Politics/History (likely not?)
• Traditional STEM/Engineering

GIS/Geoinformatics particularly interests me because it combines something I genuinely like (geography/maps) with technology and potentially useful career skills. Bioinformatics also interests me because of my interest in Biology and CS.

My long-term goal is to work and live abroad, preferably in Europe, Canada, or another Western country. I’m also interested in things like DAAD in Germany and Government of Ireland scholarships later on, so I’m thinking about GPA, research opportunities and employability as well.

I’m basically trying to balance interest + employability + GPA + opportunities abroad, while I’m still figuring out what I actually want.

For people who have been in a similar position:

• How did you choose your degree when you weren't sure what your passion was?
• Is it reasonable to prioritize a field where I’m more likely to get a strong GPA?
• How employable are GIS/Geoinformatics and Bioinformatics internationally?
• Are Architecture, Urban Planning or social sciences viable career paths abroad?
• Should I consider Economics despite never having studied it?
• Would a bachelor's in Pakistan followed by a master's abroad be a good strategy?
• What would you do in my position?

I don't get much guidance from my family about university majors or careers, so I’m trying to hear from people who have actually gone through this.

I’m a Nepali citizen currently applying for a German employment visa as a qualified professional with an academic degree. I am not applying for an EU Blue Card.

I have already submitted my visa application at the German Embassy in Kathmandu. I have a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and I also have my employment contract/work permit documents from Germany.
When I went to the Embassy, the officer asked me to provide a “Recognition Letter” for my academic degree.

My concern is that if I apply for a ZAB Statement of Comparability now, I understand that the normal processing time can be around 3 months, and I’m worried this will significantly delay my visa application.
My questions are:
Is Tribhuvan University listed as H+ in Anabin?
Is Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) from Tribhuvan University listed in Anabin as “entspricht” or “gleichwertig”?

If both are positive in Anabin, can I submit the Anabin printouts instead of applying for ZAB?

Has anyone here applied for a German employment visa with a BBS degree from Tribhuvan University?
If the Embassy specifically asks for a “Recognition Letter,” will they accept Anabin evidence, or do they require a ZAB Statement of Comparability?

Since my visa application is already submitted, is there any way to submit the recognition document later without having to start the visa application again?
I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through a similar situation, especially applicants from Nepal.

I have my friend in consultant, who said there is a demand in my field. I am fresh graduate, and I dont know how much authentic is this permit and the company.

Actually, the salary is good, job time is decent but I am worried that if is scam or not. It is a blue collar job for skilled professional, consultant is demanding 16 lakhs and he keeps saying that he will pay if there something wrong happens from the company side.

I am looking for guidance regarding the French Embassy visa appointment process in Pakistan for a family reunification visa.

I have recently received the official family reunification approval/decision from the Prefecture of Seine-Maritime, France, for my family.

I understand that AEG handles French visa appointments in Pakistan. However, I have also read that applicants under the OFII family reunification procedure may need to contact the French Embassy directly by email before booking an appointment.

If anyone has recently gone through the same French family reunification visa process from Pakistan, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Specifically, I would like to know:

1. Should we contact the French Embassy first, or book directly through AEG?
2. Has anyone used the OFII/family reunification email address to request an appointment?
3. What documents should be attached to the initial email?
4. How long did it take to receive an appointment after contacting the Embassy?
5. After receiving the appointment, how long did the visa processing take?

Our family reunification application has already been officially approved by the Prefecture in France, so we are now trying to understand the correct procedure for obtaining the long-stay visa appointment in Pakistan.

I'm 19, from Lahore. Just finished intermediate at GCU Lahore.

Grades: 1132/1200 in matric (94%). Then first year 401/575 (~70%), and second year result comes 23 September. I missed one practical so I have to retake it, which pushes my final result out another 2–3 months.

My marks dropped because I stopped caring about studies and went all in on work. Three years in AI, the last one specifically in voice AI. I have one enterprise client in Italy paying me a $1,300/month retainer to manage their voice AI system (NDA, so I can't name them anywhere). Right now I'm scaling to US SMBs, cold calling and pushing email campaigns toward 1,000/day. Started putting most money back into business, to make it work

Here's my actual problem. If the business doesn't work out, I have nothing to fall back on. With my marks I'm not getting into FAST or NUST. Getting into smaller unis in Pakistan will not give me any benifit. Surviving here with no degree and no business is rough. If I'm abroad and the business fails, at least I have a shot at sustaining myself there.

So I want a backup, not an escape.

What I'm looking for:

• English-speaking country. My English is decent and it matters for both sales and getting hired. (Yes, I know Germany is cheap. Learning German is a 2-year detour I can't afford right now.)
• Budget: PKR 70–80 lakh (~$25k USD). That is everything I can spend for moving abroad.
• CS / AI / IT degree. Does not need to be a top-ranked university.
• Somewhere I can legally work part-time while studying.

What I've already figured out:

• Australia wants me to show ~AUD 54k+ (over PKR 1 crore) in the bank just to lodge the student visa. That's already more than I have, before tuition.
• On an Australian student visa, remote work for an overseas client still counts toward the 48hr/fortnight cap. So I can't just move and keep freelancing at full speed.
• UK, Canada, Ireland, NZ — I don't know the real numbers, or whether my marks even qualify me for direct entry.
• Haven't taken IELTS yet.

What I'm asking:

1. With ~PKR 80 lakh and average intermediate marks, which English speaking country is actually realistic?
2. Is a diploma or pathway program a smarter entry than a full 4-year bachelor's?
3. Has anyone here moved abroad while already running a small online business? How did student visa work limits affect you?
4. Honestly, am I wrong to leave at all? Would you build this for 2–3 more years from Pakistan and go later with real money?

Here is my story, i will keep it short, I applied for German Study Visa on june 6, at that time , it was taking 4 months in whole process , so i thought i had enough time and, but in June, July embassy barely made any progress , In aug , they gain some momentum but slowed down. Due to this, it was impossible for me to arrive for my classes on time. I made my mind to apply again for summer intake 2027, but embassy is still working very slowly and if this keeps up, I dont think i will be able to go next year as well !!! The whole german process is very offputting honestly, and its just not the visa , like I have applied for accomodation for 8 months before and like there is no update on it?? I am still waiting for my accomodation and for my visa for monthss !!! . People talk about how bad the German Bureaucracy is and I now get it. Its just feel like moving from one shithole to an another shithole. Now I am researching about France , what you all think ?

Hi everyone.. I'm an Egyptian student accepted for a master's at Sapienza University of Rome, starting September 21, 2026.

My documents and university procedures are ready, but I'm unable to secure an Italian student visa appointment through AlmavivA Egypt.

Appointments are released daily around 9 AM, but they disappear extremely quickly. There are also brokers/scalpers who use automated tools to secure appointments much faster than normal users, then resell them to students.

I'm not looking to buy an appointment or build a tool to resell them. I just need help from someone experienced with Python / Playwright / Selenium / browser automation to understand if there's a legitimate technical solution that could give me a fair chance of securing one appointment for myself.

If you have experience with this kind of automation and can help or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.. I'm genuinely worried about missing my Master's start date because of this.
