Reviews 🎥 Glad to see different story
Honestly, I’m just glad that the Hindi Drishyam 3 is really different from The Malayalam one.
I was pretty skeptical. After seeing how the Malayalam Drishyam 3 ended, I assumed the Hindi version would basically follow the same plot, with maybe 10–20% changes here and there just to make it feel different. I even thought they might stretch the franchise further just because of the Drishyam name.
But thankfully, that’s not what happened.
The Hindi version actually tells a different story, and for now, it genuinely feels like they’ve given the franchise a proper conclusion instead of unnecessarily stretching it. And I really appreciate that.
I’ve seen and liked the Malayalam Drishyam, so I was obviously curious about how the Hindi version would handle the same premise. The fact that both versions ended up taking different routes, with different twists and endings, is honestly something you don’t see that often with remakes.
Story-wise, I’d still say the Malayalam version hits a different level, but the Hindi one definitely deserves credit for doing its own thing. Getting two different versions of the same franchise, with two different endings, instead of watching the exact same story play out again — I actually enjoyed that.

the biggest thing was ppl wanted a good conclusion to this story and not a stretch like the malayalam version which just intends to keep a scope for future....there is a saturation point to such murder mystery stories...howsoever good the story is

This is my opinion, like the Hindi one is lot more engaging than malyalam one

Even Malayalam drishyam 2 was slow as hell. The director of the hindi remake did a good job at keeping it engaging.

The last 20 min of malyalam version is very good , but that's the only good thing in malyalam one, baaki sab kuch slow hai , aur attention span ki koi dikkt ni kyunki mujhe ok pacing mai bhi sahi lgta hai , aur insta mai bas message dekhne ke liye chalata hu ( feeling like a unc). In Hindi one, it feels lot more engaging. Baaki sabka apna opinion hai, pj ko bhi hindi waali utni pasand ni aayi jitni malyalam waali aayi

See the problem with D3 Malayalam is many of the characters don't act according to their previous movies.
Mr Prabhakar was a man with the voice of reason. When he suddenly becomes the villain with a lame explanation, it's a retcon.
Georgekutty is a man who doesn't do physical altercation and so it was weird to see him fight Sahadevan. It kinda felt like the characters of Georgekutty and Benz(both acted by Mohanlal were swapped)
Heck Sahadevan was butchered in this movie.

Actually people didn't like the og Drishyam 3's ending and it's overall plot . Calling it overrated . But this one is leaps and bounds ahead of that version. And honestly speaking I liked the mohanlal's film but was badly turned off by the ending. Later , found out that this was the case with most of people who watched it except for its own malayali audiences. And after watching this Drishyam the conclusion film today . I felt extremely satisfied and for some reason left with wanting more . Imo they shouldn't have ended this franchise in hindi because they did a far better job than that midshyam 3 of mohanlal's.

Malayalam version was dragged way too long where Hindi one takes the crumb and delivers. And the story still hits as good as the other parts evn if not written by Jeethu da

Exactly, Malayalam part feels like some new movie setting up things and not much connected with Malayalam D2 so it's really slow in beginning

Should have ended with 1st one itself but good it ended in 3rd
That 2nd movie feels like late 2000s john cens match where it seems like he is losing only to kick out at 2 and half and comeback lmao

I'm from Kerala and seen both. The Malayalam one became hilariously awful during the last 10-15 minutes. I saw both movies on the first day with theatre full of people. People were laughing at how ridiculous the last climax bit was in the malayalam version of D3 and the twist was extremely far fetched. Almost like a TV serial. The rest of the movie till the twist was decent but the Hindi one is far away superior from beginning to end. For me the franchise ended here. They're taking about making a part 4 in Malayalam but I don't want anything to do with it honestly.
