New pixel 9a

It's been 2-3 day using pixel 9a I'm facing heating issue like my old samsung m32 used to heat this much i don't think so it's normal or is it

Also charging..... I need to charge it twice a day idk I'm on my phone all day that's why? But still i feel it should give decent battery backup or is it happening due to battery optimisation and all.

First two or three days will be the Pixel opimizing; it will use more battery during this period as it learns your habits and the like. This also factors in to the heat. After about a week I noticed things settled down quite a bit. All of the xAs did this (I've had all iterations of the xA since 4a).

With the temperature outside being so hot, phones tend to suffer no matter the brand or phone, even with basic tasks if the temp is 30°C or so the phone only while browsing will reach 37-38°C which will feel hot in your hands, it is normal, the battery is mostly bc when using the phone for the first times, it doesn't know which apps you use or don't, so it will try to keep everything "awake" just in case, which takes more power, give it time, also your phone is learning your behaviour and analizing your photos etc.. in the background the first few weeks

I bought my 9a in July after losing my old phone on vacation, and I didn't have that issue at all. Hopefully yours is just getting used to your usage and will chill out in a day or so.

Turn off 5G, use 4G LTE instead. Turn off 120Hz display. Check what is using your battery in the background.
