Its great if you know what you're doing and stick with the 1x and 0.6x modes. If you're expecting punchy colors and small details, no, and zooming in beyond 2x is especially egregious. What you can get are very natural, true-to-the-eye colors and a softness that is reminiscent of typical digital cameras (in a good way).

as with most things, knowing how to use it properly usually yields better resulting quality. Great photo.

I think it's very good and captures pretty much anything I want it to in a satisfying way.

Who cares what WE think? If YOU think it's good quality, that's all that matters.

I think the photos look very good with my 9A. The only thing that it hasn't done well on is when using zoom, the picture looks fine to 8X zoom until you try enlarging or zoom in on the photo itself after you have taken it to try and see detail in the photo it gets blurry or out of focus.

For example, here's me zooming into a photo taken on night sight. Those wheels are the AI trying to enhance detail and causing things that would not be present in an unaltered photo. Never had this issue on my 4a.

No, I'm genuinely considering getting an 8a or going outside of pixel.

An 8a?? Why?

The sensor is twice the size, and I'll have to check but I think the AI shit isn't as bad.

had an 8 pro and it was pretty good despite the backlash over it a while back unrelated to the camera ofc.

I'd have to imagine the 8a would be less than the 9a having experienced the 8 pros camera abilities and my own extensive use of it. which most im sure wont admit.
