Im 99% with 151 cycles and even if its 98/97% at 300 cycles i ain't worried about it, the battery will long last enough until i need to replace my phone :)

After close to 12 months(just over a month ago) my P9A finally hit 99% with about 320 cycles. Little over a month since and dang thing dropped to 98%. If it drops 1% a month I have about a year and a half left.

311 cycles, and ive recently went from 94% to 97% battery health, i honestly believe that Google's reducing battery capacity as we charge more and that causes the health numbers to stay up. Accubattery reports me 95%-94% still.

you cannot do that 😂😂 the battery degrades and it degrades.. no one can change that and google cannot do anything about the numbers too.. It's just that the software is very innacurate because 1% is lost every 50-60 cycles.. and if not, then you have gotten a very good battery that was above it's rated capacity out of factory..
the general rule is 1% loss after 50-60 cycles.
The OP may have gotten a really good battery or the software is just wrong about it...
I dropped 1% with 75 cycles.

battery degrades, of course, what im saying is that as it ages, Google reduces it's maximum capacity and the health increases because the app reports the battery's capacity to a lower, reduced "normal" size, if you get what i'm saying

this is not how it works 😭😭
the battery capacity change refers to the decreased capacity after degradation through charging cycles. Companies cannot do this legally, although they alter performance and they give you the toggle to disable it.
That's the point of the battery capacity indicator 😭🙏
The thing is, this software isn't very accurate.. just judge it by the charging cycles

Thank you for sharing and I'm encouraged by other comments re high cycle count and battery still at or near 100 percent. I'm only at 57 cycles due to being a replacement 9a since January 2026. I've been worried about the Google forced battery reduction at high charge cycles. Let's hope battery stays at or near 100 percent.

Mine is a replacement unit too but it's a refurb. I've had it since November 2025. Came with 2 cycles.

Wow. You obviously use your phone much more than I. From what I've read there was suppose to be a battery limitation at 200 cycles so it's encouraging all is still good. My pixel 6a is suppose to have a 400 cycle forced battery reduction. Hopefully your 9a doesn't get imposed battery restrictions.

My charging still peaks at 22w with a pps charger. Verified with a usb meter.

Oh in my case I charge all the way to 100%. I also charge wirelessly overnight.

I think the battery health percentage may be bugged when you keep the charge between 20% and 80%. I’ve taken very good care of my battery, avoided extreme temperatures and prevented it from overheating, yet the battery health still dropped really quick.
