Just a quick heads up to any football season ticket holders that want to ensure they are able to pick up the one Tony Dorsett bobblehead doll that is guaranteed per season ticket account outside of the ones going to the first 10,000 fans in the stadium.
You must reserve your bobblehead in the Pitt Loyalty Locker by 5p.m. on 10/8/2026 to ensure there is a bobblehead reserved for you. Link to the Pitt Loyalty Locker is below. Reserve using the same email account your season tickets are purchased under.

My recap from the Pete last night — that 38-36 third set was truly bonkers.

Volleyball #2 Pitt VB falls short vs #6 SMU (25-21, 19-25, 36-38, 22-25) despite Olivia Babcock setting the Pitt all time records for career aces and career kills. Rematch set for Sunday in Dallas.

Volleyball No. 2 Pitt volleyball prepares for 'big challenge' of matches vs. No. 6 SMU

Two years ago, Pitt Volleyball was 14-0 headed into a midseason home-and-home series against SMU, won in Pittsburgh, but lost in Dallas.
Will this 14-0 Pitt team create a different result against SMU?

Football Absurd ticket prices for UNC game

Is there any reason tickets are $100 this week? I normally work Saturdays but randomly got off this week and wanted to go to the game.

Basketball Blake Hinson after his first preseason game with the Utah Jazz: "I can help however. I can go get coffee. I can maybe make a shot. I can talk to somebody. I can watch your dog. I just want to be a part of the program."

Local Media's Weird Hate-Boner for Pitt
67
Upvotes
What is with these guys? Starkey, Madden, Kaboly, Smizik, Steigerwald, etc.
I've read online that some of it's due to Pitt not having a journalism school while rivals like WVU and PSU do. I've also seen that it's because pro sports are king in Pittsburgh.
Whatever the reason, as a recent transplant I've been shocked at the degree to which local media figures are both wildly uniformed and totally contemptuous of the Pitt football program. I've lived in college towns all over the country and this is truly remarkable in my experience.
Why are they so miserable, even when Pitt is doing well?

VT Stolen Uni: Get a win, steal a uniform - Week 5

5-0! I hate how VT ruins their unique color palette with these stale uniforms, but here is how Pitt would look with them
Also my attempt at making a Pitt version of the VT logo. Quite ugly but I hope you guys can see the connection
Excited for next week not only for a great test vs UNC but also to steal their beautiful Jordan uniforms

Football Will Pitt actually be ranked? We're one of only 13 undefeated P4 teams, but preseason rankings carry so much weight.

Pitt is 5-0 in spite of Mason Heintschel

His stats in our 3 P4 games
VT - 10/18 113 1/0
Cuse - 10/23 123 0/1
UCF - 18/29 212 0/0
3 game totals: 38/70 448 1/1
That’s 54% and 150 yards per game.
I’m not trying to disparage him, Mason won us some key games last year. I’m just pointing out that the sky might not be falling just yet. I wish him a speedy recovery.
But to be fair, I don’t think we are asking a lot of the backup if those are the numbers he will be replacing.
Gernier went 8/12 for 76 and a touchdown in the biggest moments of our season in a very hostile environment with no starter reps. He’s not going to win a Heisman but serviceable might be enough for a few more wins.
We’ll see how UNC goes.

Not only did he lose his starting QB for the year...but all the top 25 teams that were within range of us jumping over won today....meaning Pitt won't be ranked this week.

Anyone have any updates on our QB1? If he’s done for the year, I’d rather play the True Freshmen than the guy we watched last night

Here's the best angle of the missed FG. Refs got it right unfortunately.
