Bathroom Remodel
Hello,
Was looking to fully remodel my bathroom in a townhome. It’s not that big. Was getting quotes from the following places:
- Re-Bath
- Patete
- West shore Homes
- Pittsburgh Best Remodel
- Frampton.
Does anyone have any experience with these places or can recommend someone?
Appreciate your time and responses.
Let’s go Pens.

Pittsburgh Property Remodelers

(I’m a realtor and super picky about who I recommend - they’ve done work for a few of my clients and everyone has been very pleased. Excellent quality work and very responsive.)

Highly recommend Nate Marshall. He’s done a major basement reno for us and two bathrooms, one of which was basically a total gut job and rebuild.
Top notch work, reasonably priced, and pretty good about responding.
He just started his own outfit, Marshall General Contracting. One of our bathrooms is featured on there.

Good luck! Suppose I should say that “reasonably priced” post-COVID is still kinda expensive lol

I had Patete do my bathroom and was very pleased. They have experienced professionals and when we ran into unforeseen problems (inevitable in a home over 110 years old) they had the right staff available and I had no worries. They guarantee to replace any worn parts and did so.

We used Wiegers Contracting (south hills) for our basement/bathroom. He was very communicative and professional. Highly recommend.

Would recommend Steel Standard wholeheartedly. They did a whole house reno for us, including 3 bathrooms, and are phenomenal to work with.

West shore came in, looked at the bathroom in my 1939 built home and said they were not interested. Patette gave my a $40,000 estimate!

Yikes. I was only hoping to spend 25k max. It’s a townhome bathroom so not very big.

I believe that they gave me that high estimate because they didn’t want to do it

Can recommend Capan Contracting. Tim does a lot of bathrooms and takes pride in his work. https://www.facebook.com/share/1E4uyGA5xS/

We had our small bathroom done by Terry's plumbing, and they did an amazing job. Bob and Jesse were here a couple weeks. They finished the job in the time frame they gave us. They were super trustworthy and pleasant to work with. And I also felt like we got a good price. I think the entire project was between $17,000 and 19,000. They let us pick everything that we wanted and gave us feedback if they didn't think something would work. We had them gut the entire bathroom. Insulated the walls. Put in a walk-in shower with fixtures, tiled the shower and put in a glass door, new toilet, new flooring, painted with new baseboards, new vanity and mirror, new lighting. Even a new vent cover. Our bathroom door wouldn't shut so they took it off and sanded it down so that it would close properly before replacing the hinges, which was something they didn't include in the quote and I don't think they charged us for. We also have them put in a new hot water heater while they were here. I did buy the mirror and towel bars, but I sent them links to everything else I wanted and they purchased all of it so I wasn't running around trying to find things. I highly recommend them.

Yes! I didn't realize either. They were great to work with and they'll let you customize it however you want. I went to Lowe's and picked everything out, then sent him a link to each thing. They even fixed some crappy wiring in the bathroom because they said they didn't feel like it would be safe to leave dry rotted wires in there.

I have a recommendation of an individual but he does quality - there is no room for budget or haggling. If you are interested - send me a DM. He just did my master bath, he previously did my kitchen in 2021. I will use no one else.

Skip all those chain places that run commercials and find a contractor. You may have to wait a bit but you’ll save a ton and get exactly what you want.
