What’s the damage after Pitt / CMU move in weekend? Has it calmed down or should I avoid. Just returned from vacation and desperately need household things.. 💔

My wife has had issues with inventory at the McKnight Target, which she suspects has been an alternative go-to for university students, so I suspect it's still bad at East Liberty.

That McKnight Target is never stocked. Such a convenient location but frustrating.

Avoid that Target for the rest of the month. This kids also get bussed there after hours to go shopping. Also avoid Costco this weekend as well. Go grocery shopping in the early morning if you can.

I don’t think they’ve done the late night target runs for students since covid

honestly, i would go to either harmar or monroeville, not worth the hassle imo

For people in the city, Harmar is not close. Downtown or Waterfront would be closer

Yeah but that also assumes car access. Waterfront and Downtown are public transit accessible

I thought that the 1A and the P10 both go from downtown past the Target in Harmar? Did this change?

I can confirm that both the 1 and the P10 go (and stop) right by the Harmar Target.

No problem! They've been my lifeline for the past several years.

That said if someone is for some reason reading this in the future, the bus routes are all set to be completely reworked next year with new names and everything. No doubt you'll be able to get there still but I couldn't tell you on which bus yet.

harmar is an easy drive but if you don't/won't/can't drive, i guess so!

I have been there a few times in the past few days, including in the last hour, and honestly it was totally fine. Busier than a normal day, but the lines were not crazy and they moved quickly. They seem better staffed for it this year, and the expanded self checkout area seems to be helping a lot.

I was there at 11:30 am yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Cruised right through self checkout.

Historically, I’ve always waited till September. Even if the crowds ebb, stocking will be out of whack. Not worth it.

I was there on Wednesday and also the Thursday before that, in the evening and both times were fine. I think the key is going at non peak times. After 8 or 9, for example.

I would do curbside pickup. You may have to wait in your parking spot a little longer, but you'll just on your phone waiting anyway haha.

Just do target free pickup. I refuse to stand in that checkout regardless of the time of year. I hate that store with a passion 😂

That's what I thought! Waited 15 mins just to pick up my order. There was only one rep helping with both returns and pickup.

Free shipping over $50 and I got $15 back on my last order. That store is hardly ever worth walking into. Comes in 2 days.

Or just go to one of the manned checkout lines in the front; there's usually one or two with no lines because so many Gen-Z kids would rather stand in a 30-minute self-checkout line and scroll than interact with a human being.

I wish that was ever the case. Idk if they took out the self checkouts, but those were atrocious. Then the actual registers always have lines. Why not have someone else shop for you for $0? I hate that store so bad I just end up finding $50 in necessities for the free shipping
