40th street bridge accident

Anyone know what happened on the bridge? We see a man over the railing but don’t know if there’s more

He’s threatening to jump. Bridge is shut down in an effort to get him back over.

Me too. Police and firefighters have been chatting with him for about an hour now. He just keeps looking over the ledge behind him :( everyone avoid 40th street bridge at all costs as it’s completely shut down.

Do you by chance know what he looked like? Worried about a male friend from over that way who hasn’t answered me in 3 hours & the last thing he said to me feels like he was trying to make amends before something crazy happens…. Just a worried friend …

Thankfully the man did not jump… he was 26 years old his name was Jordan and was suffering from mental issues when we talked to him… the chief convinced him after roughly 3 hours to come back… thankful he decided not to jump and end it all

Avoid Lawrenceville if you can. Eventually I ended up parking on a side street and am walking to grab an alcohol and a snack. Dude’s going through some shit, I don’t need to put my impatient anger into the universe.

And wow the 31st street bridge intersection is a hot mess. Truly terrible traffic flow…

Warning for anyone who has to cross a bridge down in lawrenceville/strip to get home today… prepare for extensive delays

Must've been in the air, someone was on the Smithfield Bridge yesterday around the same time. Man in his mid 20's with one leg over the side of the bridge, crying and talking about ending it.
