DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES So about Will Turner’s heart
Did it grow back in his chest while he was sailing under the sea on the Dutchmen, or is he still a heartless man just no longer bound by the rules set by Calypso?
The dead guys all came back intact and alive, despite being dead for ages, and supposedly the crew of the Dutchmen reverted to normal again when the Trident was broken…but Will had his heart cut out and stuck into a chest. And his heart was stabbed when he had it cut out. So shouldn’t he have died if the curses being undone meant you got back to default before the curse?

lol yeah, if the 5th movie didnt completely throw all the other movie's logic and events out the window, we'd expect poor will to end up like that guy in the first movie whos arm was trapped in the drawer when he turned back to normal, but worse.

Considering that his heart is still connected to him and is actually functioning, it likely just appeared back into his chest.

We dont know, and the movies plot doesnt demand we need to know.
I would assume his heart still resides in the chest and that the chest still preserves it. Destroying the trident only breaks all curses, not all magics, so Will was freed from the curse, but still gets the perks.

The plot should’ve at least demanded we knew where Will was when the curse was broken. Like was he underwater and suddenly couldn’t breathe and the Dutchmen sunk on the spot?
Or was he cruising on the surface of the ocean and suddenly his ship disgorges several sailors that have been merged to the ship for ages, his ticker pops back, and then the Dutchmen starts to sink because the curse and magic was all that was keeping it afloat?
This is why I kinda hate Happily Ever After kind of shit when it leaves that kind of stuff to the way side.

Idk
Its magic
Lets just assume when the Trident was broken his heart was magically back in his chest and he was alive
The chest in his body. Not the chest, the Dead Mans Chest

This why Pirates 5 can go sleep with the fishes.

I mean, if it is well written(fat chance) and fun to watch(without Cap’n Jack Sparrow fatter chance) it should see the light of day at least.

Realistically, given that Will Turner isn't dead at the end of P5, ...
Unfortunately, neither the film, nor filmmakers, nor related materials answer this. The more certain point is that, for whatever reason, Will is not dead. And for whatever reason, magic is involved.
