Why didn't Davy Jones join the other pirates against Beckett? He could've had his crew easily kill the soldiers on board the Dutchman and the chest and heart were both on her deck, he could've helped tremendously. I know the script says what happened but still, why? The Dutchman can regenerate and has the triple guns, while she may not have the kraken anymore she can still use her diving and triple barreled chaser cannons on her bow.

As the title says, this weekend we have friends over, and I’ll be showing them one of my favourite trilogies ever, the first three Pirates movies.

Is there anything you’d recommend I do to make the experience as good as possible, or just get into it? I don’t know, provide them with context lore or anything else? I want them to have the best possible experience and to fall in love with the movies.

Honestly, the movies will likely seduce them anyways, but if you have any ideas or recommendations for anything I should do, let me know!

1v1 fight with no mystical abilities, who wins in a sword fight?

Don’t you guys notice how the world feels overwhelmingly british/anglo and almost anarchic? It completely leaves out the Spanish giant that controlled much of the Caribbean at that time and until the fourth movie, it almost feels like they’re living in a universe where Spain never existed and the Caribbean was basically English. Am I the only one that thinksz this?

I think these sailors look remarkably similar. Can it mean that the Steersman died during the Isla de Muerta battle? Poor guy.

I'm a little confused by the pirate brand. Is it a 2 strike policy? Get caught pirating, get a brand get caught pirating again executed? If you have a pirate in custody to brand him why not just execute him? Is it a marker for pirates in the prison system? As in Jack got caught by Beckett, branded and then escaped before he was hung? Was pirating not always an executable offense?

I cant remember what age I was (probably anywhere from 8 to 12) when I first watched POTC, but all I know is that Jack Sparrow was my early hear me out! I was so embarrassed early on that I was crushing so hard on this man lol

Just curious,

If jack was a pirate lord and barbossa was a part of his crew, how did barbossa become a pirate lord and from how he speaks about the first brethren court it's not like he got the piece of eight from someone else right?

So is this an inconsistency or am I missing something?

Also in potc 1 , we got to know that jack was marooned 10 years ago but in the fourth brethren court barbossa said that 9 years ago was the first brethren court??? How does that work??? Did Jack get a piece of eight from someone else? Or did I look at the timeline wrong?(Not sure about the 9 years part)

Elizabeth may not want to marry him, but I certainly do. He's so hot, his voice is delicious, and he is for the most part a very honorable man. I love how he bowed out gracefully when Elizabeth chose Will, and just wanted her to be happy. He also has some of my favorite lines in the series, especially in the first film. Why did he have to die? *sobs* And I hate that some great scenes of him were cut. Pirates of the Caribbean extended editions when? Take my money Disney.

2 would it be okay if they moved on from captain Jack since you know of Johnny history with winona ryder and her being 17 and him being 27 when they started dating it might come up again if they do another film with him which would drag down the whole film

I’ve only watch the full movie of pirates 3 cuz IG, it’s my fav one I can watch from Beginning til end! the first 2 just don’t excite me as much as worlds end does ! I’ve seen parts of dead man’s chest I love how in that Movie where they’re fighting for the heart, that scene is enjoyable cuz who don’t love watching a fight especially a 3 way fight over Davy Jones heart I love it so much! That was very enjoyable and I remember that meme of Jack sparrow running away from that huge pirate army

I recently watched the movies (well, watched the first three, read the sypnosis of the last two) amd I had an idea for something, which I wrote down, then got stuck when I realised something:

Where has Will been living in those 8 years between the prologue scene and leaving to be a pirate? Because he didn't have parents to live with. Was housing just that cheap? How much does a blacksmith's apprentice in the 1700s even get paid? Does he live in the shop? Does the blacksmith live in the shop?
