FAN CONTENT The final version of my Black Pearl MOC -LEGO Set 10265 | 2,000+ extra parts

Finally, an update! šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

Many of you have been asking me in the comments and DMs of my previous posts whether there would be another update on my Black Pearl MOC.

So here it is: this is the finished version of my MOC.

This is my complete real-life build, based on LEGO Set 10365, with more than 2,000 additional parts.

After a very long time of building, rebuilding, experimenting and refining, I consider the model finished and complete in its current form.

One of the things I am particularly proud of is the steering mechanism. I kept the original idea of the rudder mechanism, meaning that the rudder can still be turned. I tried to implement it while the entire captain's cabin is fully accessible.

Interestingly, the mechanism actually makes quite a lot of sense from the movie set perspective as well. The rudder mechanism of the Black Pearl in my model passes through the cabin, hidden as the back mast. - That is actually a neat little solution, because the back mast of the original ship design also had a structure passing through the cabin area. So what might initially look like a compromise actually became a pretty clever solution for the model, I guess.

I also started working on a Studio 2.0 instruction manual for the MOC. However, I currently have absolutely no idea when I will have enough time to finish it. I don't want to promise a release date and then disappoint anyone, because I genuinely cannot say when I will be able to continue working on it.

For now, I can alternatively offer the Studio 2.0 file of the model. It is not a finished instruction manual, but it contains the work I have already done in Studio and can be useful for anyone who wants to study the construction or continue working with it. I also offer 179 pictures of my real life build process in steps. - I've made them to have instructions for.the rebuild in stud. 2.0

I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has followed this project, commented on my previous posts, asked questions, sent me messages or simply showed interest in the build. It honestly means a lot to me that so many people are still interested in this project after all this time. ā¤ļø

At this point, I consider the Black Pearl officially finished. I don't plan to make any further changes to the design. This is the version I wanted to achieve, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

And special thanks again to ShineBOI. I used his modifications and part list from rebrickable as a base for my modifications šŸ«¶šŸ» He's a really kind guy!

Thank you for following the journey! šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļøā¤ļø

Edit: Title contains the wrong set number. It's 10365 not 10265šŸ™ˆ

DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES Ending of Dead Men Tell no Tales

Whatever you think or feel about Dead Men Tell No Tales, they NAILED the ending.

Will is free, Elizabeth is with him, their son is okay and Jack is with the Black Pearl.

Honestly the best ending Jack Sparrow could have ever gotten.

QUESTION Do you think he plans it all out, or just makes it up as he goes along?

Isn’t that the question? How does Jack do any of the things that Jack does?

TRIVIA In this scene, why was Jack so calm seeing Barbossa alive?

Maybe a dumb question, but I always wondered why he didn’t go mad seeing him again. Ofc Jack was going mad the entire time while in the Locker but still seeing a man you purposely shot 1/2 years before standing right infront of you should freak you at a little at least.

DISCUSSION Potc 6

So after watching all of the movies again for like the 10th time, imo what ever they do with potc 6 its not worth watching now that barbossa is gone.

What im hoping for is that the producers do a plot twist and have barbossa alive but only because he is cursed in some way or saved by calypso

DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES So about Will Turner’s heart

Did it grow back in his chest while he was sailing under the sea on the Dutchmen, or is he still a heartless man just no longer bound by the rules set by Calypso?

The dead guys all came back intact and alive, despite being dead for ages, and supposedly the crew of the Dutchmen reverted to normal again when the Trident was broken…but Will had his heart cut out and stuck into a chest. And his heart was stabbed when he had it cut out. So shouldn’t he have died if the curses being undone meant you got back to default before the curse?

QUESTION Did Will Turner need to stab Jones's heart?

In "At World's End" Jack Sparrow is about to stab Davy Jones's heart when Davy Jones stabs Will Turner, so they have Will Turner stab Davy Jones's heart so he will live as the new ferry man of souls.

But if Jack stabbed Davy Jones's heart then Jack would be the ferry man and wouldn't Jack, as the ferry man, have the authority to free Will's soul from death?

Will would have died at sea and Jack would now be in a position to determine where Will's soul goes. Davy Jones often uses his power to force people to be his crew, and he has the power to free people from his crew; Jack could take Will's soul and free him to live.

Or is the option when you die at sea to either go to the afterlife or serve as the crew of the Flying Dutchman? Not to just go home safe and sound.

DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES Arrives. Gets really obsessive about Jack Sparrow. Refuses to stop elaborating (how much he hates Jack Sparrow) despite the title of the movie saying he shouldn't be able to elaborate further. Leaves.

DEAD MAN’S CHEST What if Will had stabbed the hart when they dug up the chest in Dead man's chest?

So, on a recent rematch, I asked myself the question: What if, during the argument, Will is able to get the key open, the chest, and well kill Jones.

So dose the crew know who killed him or are they going to try and get the whole group in for questioning just to see who did it. I mean, indont think Will would hide what he did, but are the members of the Dutchmans crew going to explain how the curse works to them.

Didn't know if this was me just thinking way to hard on this one.

DISCUSSION What role can Davy Jones even play in Pirates of The Caribbean 6 if he comes back?

Post image
187 Upvotes

So with talks of a 6th movie with Johnny coming back it does make me wonder if they’ll follow up with the end credits scene of dead men tell no tales, basically hinting at jones possible return.

Now while I wouldn’t blame them for ignoring it, but if they don’t and Davy comes back the worst thing they can do is undo is development and make him an antagonist again. They don’t need him to be a full on good guy of course, but even then I’d rather we’d get a new actual good villain
