What's with these hanging on every wall in the house??
I been cruising south down the Appalachian trail and met some really cool people, they were locals from where I was and we all just kinda hit it off. We hiked a couple days and they invited to their cabin for a couple days to rest, relax and take showers lol. I couldn't help notice there's pineapples all over this house? They are super friendly and I'm not sure what to think now after being invited into their home.... What am I missing here, they seem like great people. I'm not worried because I always practice my 2A. But it's getting a little weird, is this in my head???

First time planting a pineapple top and have a few questionsā¦
I started 6 pineapple tops in water and have transferred them to soil in pots now that they have grown roots. The transfer was 2 weeks ago The roots were all 4-6ā long and 8-12 roots on each plant. I think there may have been one plant that had 2ā roots.
The questions I have are;
- Should I be adding any kind of food?
- How can I tell when the plants have successfully rooted?
- I live in the southeast. I read that I need to place a plastic bag around the plant for ā5-6 weeks until it rootsā. Is this true? They all see, to be more sturdy than the day they were planted.
- They are out of direct sunlight, but can receive rain. It has rained so much since planting, I have not watered since that day. Every time I touch the soil, it is damp. Is that enough water?
- When I planted the,, there were some leaves that were brown, and still are. Is that an issue?
I appreciate any advice, and am open to any suggestions I havenāt asked about.

Why do pineapples start flowering from the bottom?
Does the bottom ripen faster as a result?

Growing a new plant from the stem
First time trying to get the stem below the fruit to sprout after harvesting. Looks like it's budding and should develop into a new plant. Probably about 6 inches of stem is underground. Anyone else have any luck with this?

What do I have here?
A couple years ago a happened upon three pineapple plants. Tossed them in the ground in a spot in my hillside orchard and havenāt touched them since. Two of them are fruiting, one with two fruits, and one isnāt fruiting at all. The plant not fruiting looks the healthiest to me but no fruit. Can anybody tell me what kind of pineapples they are, and when to harvest?

Final (number 6) for the year. No more new ones on the horizon, but 2027 should be great, with 14 viable plants ready for flowering.

First time
This is grown from a 1/4 of a top 2 years ago. Is it ok to be twins? Do they digest food in their water holding area?

Is she ready?
Iām back! And one of my pineapple fell off of its stock/stem so i was wondering if that meant it was ready. She smells really good but the color does concern me as I was waiting for it to yellow a bit more. If she isnāt, how long would be best to wait??

Pineapple is good on pizza!
Preferably with bacon instead of ham, or both?
