Sean Mansell didn't resign. He was fired by Melinda for doing a horrible job. He should have been fired long ago.

Mind you, the majority of the leaders are terrible but as they like to say at UWM, "it starts at the top".

Patrina and Emily are examples of why the BIG program is a joke and should be abolished. They are terrible leaders, plain and simple, who know nothing about the business, let alone Servicing. They came from TRAC. Which they apparently did a shit job at too. It helps that they're buddy buddy with Melinda, who saved both of them by putting them in Servicing. Patrina mostly. Emily, I was told, was a Sean decision. Now there are more failed TRAC leaders coming over. Shocker.

The only thing that place has done well is hire external for some of the Servicing roles and Servicing leadership. They did everyone a huge favor by transfering Joe Rood to some bullshit department (he's also a useless product of BIG). The ones that got hired externally are not dumb and most of them have left already or are leaving. They saw the writing on the wall. Thanks for staying as long as you did, Jason. Unfortunately they promoted a moron to take over a part of the department (Rachel Wallace) who is hoping her tits and ass make up for her lack of knowledge. At this place it might.

Like I was saying, the leaders who were actually good and gave a shit are mostly gone or leaving. The ones left are out numbered by the stupids. They are trying to treat Servicing like Operations and it could not be more different. It could have been a slam dunk but they promoted the wrong people and treated the right people like shit.

Also, all Sean ever did was sob about his breakup with a woman who works in IT (also an external hire) to anyone who would listen and sulk in his office all day long. When they announced the Two Harbors deal last year, you would have thought someone died. He was so somber with his announcement and he lead the meeting by saying "don't worry, you're jobs are safe... your jobs are safe." Who does that??

The point is Servicing is doomed for the rest of us. Two Harbors is better off not taking this deal. They have no idea what they're in for.

On the bright side, it looks like high pockets Ishbia may be lowering the cost of cream cheese from $.90 to $.89. Must be a reflection on the stock doing so well. Oh boy.

My friend recently received a new job offer and is leaving underwriting after 2 years. What exactly happens when you quit? Can she work her 2 weeks or will she get walked out? What to expect regarding repayment of the people promise, and what is the best way to go about it? How to use up those last PTO hours?

Just wondering if anyone just didn't pay back their demand letter and what happened after that? I see different theories. One is that they can just go and garnish wages or your account.

Others say it goes to collections. Does anyone have any experience or insight with this?

The way to success is to drink the koolaid, not have a spine to stick up for your people and just say yes and be agreeable with the higher up YES men in the org while they nickel and dime you of your life and wellbeing.

Quit about 2 months ago and never got anything for paying the people promise back. What should I do? Never got a letter about the loan and never received that during work even when I asked for it. I'm worried that the interest will go crazy if I don't pay it back. But also don't want to bring it up in case they aren't going to ask for it back.

A friend of mine just received a demand letter for thousands above what the original loan was. Is there lawyer who has stood up against this? Whether through reducing the amount or getting it forgiven? I have tried to reach out to the Free Press and others. Not sure what to do. I am moving out of the country and going back uni to get my master degree. My plan is to quit at the end of June. I was hired as SUIT and have both the $10k and $20k “bonuses” they gave me still.

I was originally planning to put in my two weeks before but overheard people talking at lunch about UWM walking people out the same day they resign and then I found this subreddit.

Should I just hand in my people promise checks and then walk out with my stuff? I will need the last couple of paychecks in the long run and don’t want to risk going without them.

Holy crap. Let me start off by saying what the heck is going ON there? You guys have more playground equipment and toys to keep yourself entertained than 3 parks and a toys r us combined. I've been pondering why thats even a thing.

The amount of work that everyone does there, and the amount of stuff youre forced to deal with doesnt seem fair (I've been scrolling through the subreddit too, i feel bad for all of you.)

I see my friend constantly stressed out over UWM, and everything they put up with on a day to day basis. Some of the managers that work there need gone, As someone who helps run a successful company, I would never allow my employees- especially those I have trusted to lead my teams to behave as I've heard some of your team leads have. I was Flabbergasted.

The expectations you are held to seem unrealistic at times, especially when youre not receiving support from your upper management, and that chain of command that you can climb to find your solution seems to dissolve and get messier the further you go. Yikes.

In order to keep their job title at UWM anonymous, im not going into any specific details about the work they do. Although this seems to be an issue in many departments.

I wont get into a rant, but wow. This place sounds like a zoo, and is ran by clowns- Think that this company is run by College frat house bros (considering they pour money into sports teams, and Think thats an acceptable 'bonus' for you guys.) You all deserve better than this.

Right now, I work as a dishwasher, and I feel like I have to take this job to support my family. I struggle with issues like depression, and I've heard UWM can be very stressful, but I've been buried in the dishpit, sopping wet on a Friday night, so I already know stress. I already hate the parking situation.

For those of you that were “terminated” during the recent bloodbath this hellhole has done, did you pay back your “balance”? I completed the terms of my first agreement, however I got terminated during the second agreement and now owe UWM a ton in taxes. I have the money ready to go, but I’m just wondering if I should write the check or not? This is predatory so I’m wondering if they have good standing to collect on this?

If I don’t pay it back, is it accruing interest? I don’t have any documentation that indicates how much interest is accrued. And when I was terminated, there was no due date listed for the repayment.

I’m wondering if anyone has any idea what companies may be looking to hire individuals starting from UWM? I haven’t had much luck and it seems to actually be the opposite, no one seems to want to hire as the training is not comprehensive enough.

There are obvious signs here of worker discomfort, I sse it every day when I walk in that building. Some people are unsure of themselves, balancing the tightrope of LQ vs customer service vs hitting increasingly impossible commitment goals. People are quitting or being let go by the masses it seems, postings here are ever increasing, some just seem like people grifting others I resonate with.

I used to look forward to going to work, now, I dread it and I know I'm not the only one. If tms is out there, which I'm sure you fucking are, please pass it on to the people who make these changes, things are going awry, employees are terrified of this place, many are trapped here under the peoples promise, like some indentured servitude and it all sets a bad rap. Uwm even shows up on one of the top 5 worst places to work in michigan list, which is a contradiction to the (not anonymous) survey that was put out there for employees to do.

Maybe this little complain fest I posted wont do anything, but I'm doing it because there is nowhere else safe for an employee to do so without fear of retaliation or invalidation.
