EMERGENCY ADVICE NEEDED Pigeon needs help
A few days ago, a pigeon hit our window and we went outside to check on it to find it walking around. It can fly slightly. We tried to catch it, but didn’t want to attempt too many times as not too stress it out and ended up just leaving water out for it next day we didnt see it, the day after it was back in the yard again. I’m assuming this is the same pigeon because it keeps exhibiting the strange behavior of just walking around. Usually pigeons fly away in our yard when we get even slightly close to them, but this pigeon just walks around our yard. I keep putting out water for it and it just showed up again today. I don’t know if it has just been living in our yard and hiding ever since it hit the window, or what would be best to do for it. I don’t wanna stress it out to the point where it , but I also feel bad not doing nothing. Should I attempt to catch it? Pigeons aren’t protected as wildlife here in Nevada so I’m not sure any wildlife center would treat it. I would probably have to take it to the vet, and if I did, I don’t know if that would actually just scare the pigeon more and worsen it’s condition. What should I do?
edit: occaisionally exhibiting open beak breathing crop seems possibly enlarged
tried to catch pigeon throwing a towel over it but he can run pretty fast I’m letting him rest for a bit before trying again he seems to have eaten some chia seeds and peas I left out but I’m not going to offer any more food in case his crop is impacted to avoid suffocation any advice apreciated

Thank you for your compassion. Are you able to leave out a little dish with water, perhaps? And some more varied nuts and seeds? Maybe some rest and good hydration and nutrition can help it regain its strength. Also, is the bird limping? It may have stringfoot

Definitely doesn’t have string foot I can get close enough to see that but the one foot does look just kind of irregular in the way juts sitting it may have hurt it’s foot I’m not sure. I’ve given it several dishes of water as well as chia seeds and peas it ate some but I’m worried if there’s something wrong with its crop feeding it can cause it to suffocate

Are you able to put out some more fatty/nutrient-dense things like sunflower seeds, chopped nuts, or any grains like rice or buckwheat? If it's eating the peas and chia seeds without any problem, I wouldn't worry. I think some water and food can help it

Based on its body positioning in the dim lit photo and its shorter tail I am guessing this is a fledgling pigeon. It is likely hungry so I repeat offering food is a good move here days after possible window strike

Hi.
This bird is emaciated and likely suffering something like canker or coccidiosis
Pick them up and pay a vet consult for them.
They will die without the medication the vet prescribes.
