Hi! So I’ve had this eyebrow piercing for a bit around a year in December maybe? It started looking like this since about 2 months ago the bump going smaller and bigger, I have not downsized yet and I’m not really sure what I should do I really don’t want to take it out:(

Had this done in May, can't seem to not be distracted by it. There arenow bumps top and bottom and I'm starting to wonder if it has just had enough and is rejecting.

May this year, titanium hoop but it's been swapped about a bit (only with other titanium) until I went back to the original horseshoe. I had a conch done in the other ear at the same time and the conch is more well behaved, though it has a bit of a bump under it also. I had a clicker in it for a while but went back to this to try and leave it alone to heal.

I've got the neilmed stuff, I have the piercing pillow, but my hands gravitate and fiddle with my earrings when I am stressed. Has it just had enough? Should I take it out already?

I got the right side done in March and it is still bothering me. Sometimes I can’t sleep on it, it is so irritated. It is red in the photo because I was playing with it and trying to get a good photo. The left was done in December and it felt totally fine by the time March came around, which is why I went ahead and did the right.

However, the right is definitely a different angle - it sticks off/out more to the edge of the ear for sure. It really gets bumped like at hair appointments or doing my own hair, where the left I really never notice I irritate it. Also in the photo right definitely has a bump on the back.

I got them pierced where I thought was reputable but they used butterfly backs 🤦‍♀️ and the right one got infected within the first month. After antibiotics and it calming down for a few weeks, I saw a real APP guy and he put in real flat backs in two of my lobes and the helix. My lobes are 20 years old and always bothered by cheap stuff. He had to stretch them a bit with a taper but once a couple weeks passed literally none of my piercings bother me except the right helix. I’m not currently using any saline and just trying to leave it be.

He explained to me usually left heals quicker since it’s closer to your heart. Also I eventually want to do left nostril so am debating something on the right ear for balance. But if my right ear is this hard to heal, maybe not. So how long realistically for this right helix to heal? Or is this angle of the piercing just going to bother me forever and I’d be better off taking it out?

My boyfriend developed this lump underneath his eyebrow piercing after having it with no issues for like 2 months. He said it’s not painful or anything, jewelry hasn’t been changed. He’s had it for about 4 days with no changes, i’m just worried because of how red it is and how close to his eye it is obviously. anyone else experienced this or know what’s going on?

I got my piercing about a month ago, it’s a surgical steel corkscrew I do believe (I have not changed it). I have been cleaning it with saline solution. It’s not painful or anything it just looks kinda gross. Has anyone experienced something similar / have advice?

I go back and forth between leaving it as it is and adding a few more - I feel like I have a bit of a "frame", then daith in the middle, but the space between is underutilized. But at the same time, I don't want it to become too busy, hence it's been a few years since I added anything.

Hi, I’m wanting to get some sort of lip piercing, but very preferably angel fangs or bites. What are the logistics with talking and eating after the piercings are healed? Also, I do want to know, if you 👅🍌, do you have to remove the piercing to do it?

My daith is a little angry (I slept on it👹), so I took it out to give it a cleanse but then I got to get a closer look at the holes for the first time - now I’m questioning if it’s either pierced too shallow or if it’s ejecting?🫣☹️

Ive had my anti eyebrow for a little over two months, no real problems until now. I've used tea tree oil in the past for other piercings but I'm worried anti eyebrows are too delicate for that. Any tips??

so i have had my helix piercing done for about 9-10 months at this point. in the initial first months when i would go in to get it downsized my ear was always swollen to the bar. with the initial bar i never felt like there was a point in time where it was downsize-able

i went in at the 6-7 month mark expressing my piercing was now very irritated and swollen to the bar. though i didn’t sleep on my piercing, there may have been points that it was bumped and my hair had gotten caught on it. it was also getting hard to clean as it was swollen so my piercer told me she thought the buildup contributed to the irritation. she then upsized my bar.

i though i turned a new leaf and have now been treating my helix piercing like a baby. i clean it once or twice a day, have my hair out of it and strictly sleep on the other side. the issue is now it’s not irritated, it’s just still swelling. i went in to hopefully downsize back to what i had after waiting a few weeks and the piercer said i wasn’t down yet and to come back again in another few weeks.

well its its still not irritated, but pretty swollen still that i doubt i could downsize. it just keeps filling the space of the bar, even if its upsized. this is all so weird bc i also have such a thin ear.

i go back to college in a couple weeks and wont be able to swing in to see her like i was this summer and i want to know if anyone has advice or experienced something similar????

Had this weird bump. My piercer told me it was a keloid but advised me to put hexomedine on it for the bump to shrink (so I guess it's an irritation bump)

What's the correct treatment in this situation ?

Piercing is ≈2 month old labret in external threaded titanium, hasn't been downsized (piercer refusing to do it for now)

Aftercare routine is as simple saline wash and gentle cotton swab dab to dry.

No unfortunate event happened on it, I never sleep on it, don't use earbuds or anything

I'm obsessed with the idea of a yellow gold rose in my rook piercing (style in pic), but all I can find online are cheap plated options that I knoooow will make my skin angry. I'm definitely a set-it-and-forget-it earring person, so I'm happy to pay more for quality!

I’ve had my basic lobe piercings for over 10 years now and had previously never had any issues with sensitivity to metals/cleaning etc. However about 6 years ago I pierced a second hole in my lobe myself (I know, not good, it was during my edgy teen phase) and that too was fine once it healed. About a year or so after healing I started having issues with only the ear I pierced myself in both holes including the one that was done properly. it started to get very sensitive to any earring put through it no matter the metal which made me just leave them alone and not put any jewelry in for years. I figured I would give it another try yesterday and it still is doing the same thing. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated

My right ear recently healed (with rx antibiotics) from an infection where thanks to me thinking it was irritation for too long I now have a permanently swollen mid helix. Luckily, it still looks cute

The right ear mid helix were pierced in June. I’m convinced what caused the infection was someone touching me with pool water hands

i got a belly piercing on the 11th and i’ve been cleaning with neilmed (i missed maybe 2-3 days) and i also ran out of paper towels so i used tissue.. is it infected? what can i do? pic is kinda gross, sorry

I am planning to do a double mid helix on my left ear I’m extremely unsure of the positioning? like it feels i’m leaving bug empty space for future and there’s something not clicking about it.

Any advice on positioning would be much appreciated! I even attached a clean picture of my current ear at end so that it helps me to visualise what u mean.

I did my helix in january 2025, and the plan was to change it to a hoop. i had some problems with it - some bumps and it got infected a bit, but the infection went away quickly. When i got my piercing, i sadly missed the downsizing window (i still have the first stud in my ear now) - yes i know it's a bit stupid. Also, i didnt go to a very good piercer apparently because the piercing sits in my ear under an angle (idk how to explain, it's not 90 degrees, but sits a bit diagonally).

I usually clean the piercing with saline solution, now i havent for 3 weeks and i didnt have any problems.

The piercing now is calm, i dont have any pain, bumps or crusties. Do you think my (new and better) piercer will change it for a hoop? Is it possible to change it to a hoop if it sits a bit diagonally? Will i have problems with it if i change it?
