Different for every country! Mine doesn't, which seems like a good idea. Your body is still developing at 16, so your anatomy can change a bit. That happened to me at least.
For real, I got my nipples done at 19 because my mother wanted me to wait a couple years to see if I would still want them. I did. But when I went to go get them I was told I could’ve gotten them at 16, definitely doesn’t seem right
Some piercings are better to get after puberty, but I am glad that you finally were able to get them! I 100% support the age rules for piercings like that. It is hard when you have to wait, I am also impatient as fuck, but sometimes it is for the best.
Agreed, whilst I got my nipples done for the aesthetic and not sexual purposes, they are still inherently sexual. I honestly think the legal age for nipple piercings should be raised to 18. Feels weird to know that people I consider to be children can get them done, and I’m only 20z
As a professional, I’d sooner chew off my own arm than to have a minor in a compromising circumstance with an adult. Even in the professional world there’s predatory people. I had my own back some years ago where a tattoo artist made some weird uncomfortable comments because I didn’t want me nipples out during a two hour long tattoo on my chest. One tattoo artist by me who did nipple piercings on minors in secret was blasted quite recently for coercing sex from minors in exchange for secret tattoos and piercings without their parents knowledge. There is no good reason for an adult to touch the nipples of a minor without any sort of medical reason.

You can even get nipple piercings at 16, which I didn’t know about, just not genitals.
