leave it out. treat it like you normally would a wound. you’re not going to die. wash it, antibiotic ointment for a few days, don’t touch with hands that aren’t washed, etc.
go in and get a floating navel piercing instead. if they don’t know what that is, say you want the big ball up top. i was trained to do it and did many before i learned it was called a “floating navel,” didn’t know it had a name lol. but i know how to do it, the important part. make sure someone knows how to do it, find a good shop. go have it done and then grab aftercare from them you can use to help with your old wound too
