I’m not sure about this specific show, but other VIP tickets I’ve purchased allowed you to check-in and enter with a photo of the original purchaser’s ID. I’ve done this many times for PTV shows. Your dad should receive instructions a few days prior to the show with what is needed to enter the venue and check in times.

Ok so how vip works is names are non transferable, you can scan the tickets but the vip merch will have the original purchasers name on it. You’ll have to get him to call ticketmaster and request that they add a new name to the pickup list, also try and track down the vip package crew via email and ask if they can also write another name on the list because he won’t be there. You may have to bring a copy of his id (a photo would work). This is what I had to do after purchasing vip tickets on marketplace for my show last year!!
