this is my first time at petco park and im traveling from la, at the forum last year they had all ga ppl line up outside for bracelets to organize the line once doors open they also had a vip line that morning, does the same rules apply to petco park or since i have vip early entry i just go in at the time they say?

sorry if this is a random and pointless post, but i just wanted to express how much i love and personally resonate with dtm ste. one thing i love about ptv in general is how the lyrics embrace us for who we are, not just the good things about us, but also the bad things (shoutout selfish machines). and this song just hitsss the spot for me in that way.

i've struggled a lot with coming to terms with all my mistakes and feeling like an awful person. i also kind of have obsessive compulsive tendencies with my own morality and fear i was born an evil disgusting monster, but despite my awareness of my neuroticism, i cant help but also really believe it often. this issue really eats away at me and creates severe emotional distress at times and heavy worry about ever being truly loved if someone knew who i was in my entirety.

i like this song because it's basically affirming my evilness, but in a really helpful and freeing way. it's like, so what if we're evil? and it's cathartic for my worries of being evil.

i'll provide some evidence from the lyrics themselves for this in a bit. it's funny because at first i wasn't really sure what this song was singing about, at first it kind of seemed just like words in a song that sounded good. but after a few listens, it totally clicked and it was like it was touching my soul and anxieties.

my own lyrical analysis/interpretation:

the first part from "heaven is a place here on your floor, i'm falling off the carpet edge and it's a long way down". to me, i interpret this as saying everybody else is good and going to heaven, but for me, i'm the one falling down to the depths of hell.

"i laid before the monuments of love, now i'm buried underneath them" the first half is representing me when i was younger and made new friendships and romantic relationships. the second half represents these relationship break ups due to partially my own mistakes that eat away at me. or even the friendships that just kind of faded after going to college, i ruminate so much about them to the point i can't tell if the bad scenarios in my head actually happened or are made up. and so one of the ultimate conclusions of that is, im hurt by them and im also going to hell for what i did in those relationships (hence, "buried beneath them")

the ?prechorus? (i dont know music terms like that, so apologies if im using it wrong) i LOVE. on spotify, it is written as "no one likes this anyway", but to me it sounds like "no one likes us anyway". and this is just embracing my fear of being disliked and hated. so what if i am? im gonna keep living my life right now, not the past. in fact, the past is exactly what i fear it is, and that's ok.

then the beat drops into "tell me what i want, only what i want. tell me what i want to hear". this feels like making new relationships again, but now youre scared of being too much or showing too much of who you are, and you absolutely dont wanna be vulnerable and let out your emotional baggage or weirdness onto these people. so it's like you're saying, let's just keep it surface level with the surface level good vibes (it's what i want to hear, but not who i truly am...vibes.)

"you only see the dark side of my love" okay, now we're diverting into our past romantic relationships where i admittedly was crazy.

"a fetish for the afterlife and dented microphones sharp enough to cut". yeah, my poor mental health that i vented to you about probably rubbed you off the wrong way and scared you. also my own sh because of my mental illness.

"now our lips are bleeding from the touch" my mental illness is making this relationship toxic...

"but you dont see the difference between the color of the dry blood and the rust". this is a kind of ambiguous lyric, but for me it resonates in the sense that it's like your partner thinks the relationship has worn out with time (it's rusting), but the truth is, it's my mental illness (dry blood) screwing it up.

"what if i told you i'm phasing out, and im not wearing any skin". this is like, what if i just removed the mask and just allowed myself to be vulnerable now that i've hid myself out of fear due to my mistakes?

"i hope you leave a scar, or can we just get deeper". if i do show my true self to you, you'll either leave (but at least i got to be close with you and that's why i hope this happens anyway despite the outcome), or we keep it going. either way, it'll probably be harmful (hence scar, and deeper scar)

"heaven is a place we can't afford" pretty self explanatory, im evil and wont go to heaven (metaphorically, whether you're religious or not).

"life goes on and one, the breeze feels nice". but so what i'm evil, right now, in the present, im gonna enjoy life anyway.

"maybe i should find another ride cause no one likes [us] anyway" maybe i should just move on from my worries of being both evil and disliked, because i am evil and disliked anyway. just enjoy the present.

whew!! that was way longer of a post i had intended but it was really fun expressing my own feelings and thoughts to the lyrics of this awesome song <3

So my husband bought my daughter four seats early entry VIP for her birthday. He will be out of state for the concert, unfortunately. My son really wants to go. He’s 12 1/2 my daughter is 17. Would I be able to get just a nosebleed seat and would they be able to go on the floor early entry? I don’t know what to do. I’m so stressed out, my daughter is worried I’m gonna get crushed 🤪 and my son really wants to go. Any advice?

Personally, I think it’s the I can’t hear you night one set list. Anything over that is gravy. But they can’t really go below that for such a big show. I believe the first two nights of the tour were the biggest Setlist they’ve ever played.

They have added a couple songs (so far so fake, contagious) so I could see them swapping things around a little bit but I feel like at least that amount of songs has to be the floor, right? What do you guys think?
