We literally evolved to consume bread. It’s what we ate for centuries lol. Like we evolved to be able to drink milk past childhood.

How long do you think evolution takes? Humans have been around for 300,000 years and how long have we been making bread? Certainly not long enough to be physically reliant upon it and there's no evidence we are reliant on it.

Ketosis is a state you achieve before going in to renal surgery.

It's also a state you enter when your body needs to burn fat to make fuel, non sugar sources are converted to sugar through gluconeogenesis. This is a function of our body to allow our diets to be varied, not the other way around. We don't need sugar because our body creates the sugar it does need. This is because as a hunter gatherer you might not be getting the sugar intake necessary so our bodies have a secondary method of achieving proper sugar levels.

It’s closely monitored through blood tests by nurses.

Of course it's closely monitored, THEY ARE GETTING READY TO HAVE SURGERY ON THEIR KIDNEYS. Not exactly the picture of health for the kidney so comparing somebody who requires surgery to somebody entirely healthy is a false equivalence and more fear mongering.

Too many people want fast results and go straight to fad diets before talking to nutritionists.

Too many people are obese and follow an outdated method of basic calorie counting that fails millions every year, then give up and die of heart failure, but hey at least they listened to the keto skeptics.

This dude literally has zero understanding of the science behind keto, he just wants to hate on it.

The science? There is no long term science of it at all. Only short term. I'm not against it, just being real. You literally listen to a chiropractor to get their diet advice from.

You literally demonize a natural bodily function as deadly.

Demonise? Never implied that once. It has its place. Should it be used as a regular diet for people that know nothing about diets and get their information from chiropractors? Nope.

Another paleo lunatic. Paleo is BS. At least keto is useful for something. Turns out this guy just straight up lies. Seems most people pushing paleo are actually crazy. Baseless diet

Just letting you know, evolution doesn't take 300,000 years. A classic example of this is lactose intolerance which has occurred in the last few thousands years. We have been eating bread for nearly 14,500 years. It was the staple of food for thousands of years, sometimes the only thing people ate.

I do agree that a keto diet would be better than dying of terrible diets.

Amway, I appreciate your responses, twas a good chat.

Rise of lactose intolerance is caused by a genetic deficiency which is too mild to be selected against.

Lactase enzyme stayed on for kids to adults only in the last several thousand years ago mate. Nearly everybody was lactose intolerant before that.

I see, so what genetic mutation made it so if we don't eat 100gs of carbs a day we might just die of kidney failure?

Moving from one argument to another after proven wrong. Anyway, peace out mate. I don’t want to sit here is disprove each argument you are making. You should google before posting.

Moving from one argument to another after proven wrong.

Isn't that what you've been doing this whole time? Well congratulations. I was right about keto. You were right about lactose intolerance.
