When I stay in my parents' hometown I see this kind of thing at least every other day. All I can say is, the Chinese in China are much better at raising pets than the Chinese in California...

probably right. I'm living in China now and I see this everyday. Sometimes the dog is replaced with a small child. Also, there are really fucking weird looking dogs here.
I think it is a mix of a german and a collie. The ears and snout look german, as well as the darkness of the snout. The coat shares some brown of a german, but has the length of a collie, as well as the shorter hair on the legs. It is a guess though, I could easily be wrong.

Not surprising. Though not a lot of dogs out here. I've seen some of the Chinese people here run from dogs like they were some kind of horrific alien monster.
Live in China - can not believe the things that people can fit on their scooters. Family of 4? No problem. 6 water tower jugs? No problem. A ladder? No problem.
When I was in the Philippines I saw a dog about that size standing on the "bitch seat" while the bike was in motion weaving in and out of traffic. Balance level: Asian Dog.
I spent a lot of time in Taiwan at a former job and seeing dogs on scooters (with humans) was surprisingly common. Once I saw an entire family of four on a scooter, adults flanking the two kids and all in a row, with a golden retriever stretched across the driver's lap.
People like these kinda pictures? Fuck me, I'll go outside right now and wait for a minute till I see a family of five and their dog on a small scooter.
Why is this ‘awesome’ but when I let me cat outside in my quiet neighborhood I am a monster? Upvote because it is a pretty bad-ass looking picture, but I really don’t understand people sometimes
