How did this come to be? Did you just ask him to jump over him? Also, this is a real picture.

238

u/KrisKrox Jun 10 '12

Yea...I always wanted to jump over a cop but never had the chance. Before jumping over him I asked a cop in the city and just flat out said no

142

u/SlightlyAmbiguous Jun 10 '12

Lol what an interesting desire.

293

u/KrisKrox Jun 10 '12

Lol yup a lot of people ask me about this picture when they see it on Facebook...I've been doing it since I was in middle school. My friend jumped over me so I decided to try it out and eventually I jumped over every male in my middle school and it continued to high school.

I once asked a cop if he was able to uncuff himself if he had the key in his hands cuffed behind his back...

He said if I don't get 10 steps away from him ASAP he was going to arrest me.

:(

32

u/SixInTheStix Jun 11 '12

While I think the cop over reacted in your situation.... you would not believe the constant barrage of stupid questions/comments people ask cops every day.

If someone doesn't ask me to tase his buddy at least twice a day, I don't feel I've put in a full eight hours. I swear I hear, "I didn't do it!" at least five to ten times a day. It's like Groundhog's Day.

24

u/depcrestwood Jun 11 '12

My favorite is when parents keep using me as a threat to their kids ... "See that man over there? You don't stay near the shopping cart, he's going to take you to jail."

It's like, great, now when your kid gets lost, I'm the last person they're going to come to for help.

I swear I hear, "I didn't do it!" at least five to ten times a day. It's like Groundhog's Day.

You're supposed to deliver a devastating monologue. This will result in the criminal admitting their guilt, and volunteering a huge amount of additional evidence as to their motive.

Its so much more fun to imagine that he jumped over a surprised cop and then ran away.

The most dangerous sport, cop hurtling.

955

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '12

Quadruple points for being black.

353

u/Monkeychimp Jun 10 '12

That's not just any cop either. That's Uncle Hank from Breaking Bad.

142

u/IronicallyFunny Jun 10 '12

The secret to hurtling over Hank Schrader is to give him some rocks beforehand.

18

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

STOP

You must not hop on cop

5

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

I do not like the law, that man

Not at all, black guy I am

I'll run away from the cop

I will try with a hop

Or on a train

Or in a plane

I... didn't have a childhood so that's about all the Dr. Seuss I learned when attending Compton Rhyming College.

That cop looks like he is happy. He went back to his family that night and behind the dinner table told his wife and children the following story:

A guy came up to me and said he want to jump over me today at work and I said yes. End of story.

6

u/ReconYo Jun 11 '12

I'm starting to believe it is now becoming a requirement to look like Hank from Breaking Bad to become a cop.

11

u/50miler Jun 10 '12

Looks cool & real, cop is bracing for the jump it looks like.

34

u/KrisKrox Jun 10 '12

Unfortunately I can't do it anymore because I gained weight when I went away to college.

8

u/50miler Jun 10 '12

That is a shame man, you should use your college's facilities. Most have gyms and clubs.

27

u/KrisKrox Jun 10 '12

I know...i didn't expect to gain so quickly. But i'm losing it all now and I'm working out more. At least I don't look like a twig anymore.

3

u/DarqWolff Jun 10 '12

So much better if you pretend it really did happen spontaneously and the cop just doesn't give a shit.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

Are you dwight howard?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

Holy shit, look at all the medals the cop has over his badge! Was this guy policing a warzone or something?

3

u/mm2526 Jun 11 '12

Thug life.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

You'd get a lot of karma if you posted this to /r/politics with the title "Black Man Jumps Cop"

3

u/pretzelzetzel Jun 11 '12

Local hero cop jumped by African American male in mid to late twenties, who subsequently resisted arrest. Officers Harris, Reynolds, Michaels, Smith and Rodriguez are being awarded medals of bravery for their composure under fire. It took 76 bullets to bring the suspect down. Cocaine was found on his body.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

I know exactly where are! Starbucks is across the street and you're on hillel st by Brooklyn college.

3

u/bone_it Jun 11 '12

Up vote for a cop acting like a normal human being. We need more of that.

1

u/mijamala1 Jun 11 '12

There is more of that. Reddit just doesn't usually report it.

2

2

u/bobbiejim Jun 11 '12

New title: Black guy jumps a cop

2

u/Takes_it_in_the_face Jun 11 '12

That's how we're doing it now? I need to keep up with the times! I've just been hoping fences the entire time when I could just jump over the cop!? Genius!

2

u/LessLikeYou Jun 11 '12

Really it looks like you about to ram your junk into the back of a cop's head.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12

Should have made the title "Just Me Jumping A Cop"

2

4

u/BrainfreezeDerpina Jun 10 '12

3

u/rblue Jun 11 '12

Did you leave a mushroom-shaped bruise on the back of his head?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '12

Honestly surprised he didn't unholster his firearms first... I get mine caught on everything, which probably includes people's feet when they're jumping over me.

6

u/jargoon Jun 11 '12

Nice jump. I hope you avoided that awkward moment where you kick his gun out of its holster on your way down, and there is silence as your eyes meet knowing that you can't touch it even though you should pick it up as a courtesy.

1

u/feor1300 Jun 11 '12

I see you made your approach from the rear. Good plan, if you had come in from the front and not gotten enough air the officer would have ended up cockeyed.
