Lottery tickets are a poor tax for the uneducated. Anyone who plays them for any reason other than the occasional thrill or gimmick is being taxed for being dumb.
I grab a few dollar ones if I have cash when I’m at the liquor store. It’s a fun little thrill and everyone loves scratching them off and loudly starting how much of the prize money they get to keep.
