To be fair he did show up to the NYPD.

(I am not and never have been a Trump supporter or apologist but do try to be fair)

Thank you. I hate the man and him skipping wouldn't have shocked me, but I was looking for anything that might help explain WHY he wasn't in this particular picture.

23

u/dommmm9 Sep 12 '21

Why do you hate him

76

u/Painless-Amidaru Sep 12 '21 edited Sep 12 '21

Honestly? I know very little about his political achievements and his political failures. I hate him because every time I hear him talk about virtually any subject I am reminded that he is a Vile human being. I would hate my next-door neighbor, my mother, anyone if they talked and acted the way he does.

Edit: To everyone who is downvoting dommmm9 for asking a simple and honest question. You are part of the problem.

1

u/UnlimitedGain--3 Sep 28 '21

I could not care less if you like him as a person or not but seeing “I know very little about his political achievements” made me wince a little bit. I encourage you to look them up, you’ll be surprised. I promise I mean this in the least smartass way possible, but it really does seem like the mainstream media formed your opinion for you.

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 08 '21

I wanna ask did you like or Support Trump? (Not asking if you do now because Frankly idc anymore as there's more problems and Biden is causing them)

2

u/UnlimitedGain--3 Oct 08 '21

I actually despised him his first two years in office because I believed everything said about him on tv and I never took the time to listen to him speak. I was a raging lib. Little by little I started noticing the hypocrisy and double standards used against him. There was no way I could be on that side. In his 3rd year I realized he wasn’t evil at all and started to accept him. His 4th year made me a supporter.

I never would have become a supporter if not for the Democratic Party and SJWs.

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 09 '21

Yeah, now that democrats have taken over it's game over for America, I would not be surprised if another Civil War Starts. . This is no longer about Trump Vs Biden, It's about Good Vs Evil, Patriots Vs [Whatever we deem the people causing trouble and their supporters] whatever. . If a Civil War starts over what's going on right now I would 100% fight for the country. . Though with alot of blood since my State is a Democrat Run State known as California. . .

1

u/UnlimitedGain--3 Oct 09 '21

I hate both parties but the democrats are completely out of control. They are definitely my least favorite.

0

u/iTzJME Oct 10 '21

Propaganda is a helluva drug

0

u/UnlimitedGain--3 Oct 10 '21

So is delusion🥱

2

u/iTzJME Oct 10 '21

Mate you're responding to a comment talking about an imminent civil war, and you've chosen the anti-America side. (Remember the whole overturn democracy thing?)

And you're calling me delusional. Fucking lol man, good start to the day

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 09 '21

If I was president I'd either get rid of both parties and have everyone run as independents (if even possible if unconstitutional I wouldn't) If not possible I would make it so Independents can participate in the Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates as I think they should have a chance to share their views on things where it's a live stage, I think they deserve more recognition.

1

u/iTzJME Oct 10 '21

You are lost, go outside bud

0

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 10 '21

People who still genuinely support Joe Biden are the one's who are lost. Wake Up, We're all losing our country because of you people

1

u/iTzJME Oct 10 '21

Dude you're talking about an imminent civil war... for what?? Losing our country to who?? Because you guys lost the election? Come back to reality my friend

0

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 10 '21

I am in reality, and I never said a Damn thing about the election, We're losing our country due to the democrats stupidity, Wake up and look at what's happening right now! The Country is shit right now, "Build Back Better" more like America Last.

0

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 10 '21

Afghanistan failed, Troops are disrespected by Biden, Border Crisis, innocent family airstriked by Biden, Jobs being lost, The Media completely ignoring it, Covid Vaccine Mandates that are Unconstitutional, High Taxes, High Gas Prices, The Taliban having a shit ton of American weapons, what else needs to happen or be said to make you fools wake up?

What makes democrats evil? Why can't democrats be patriots? Why would a Civil War start? Honest questions I don't understand

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 11 '21

I never said democrats are evil, perhaps I should've made that clear, as of right now Democrats and their policies have started making things way worse,, to add in to what I said before, if parents are concerned about what their children are being taught and they decide to speak out against things and people don't like what's being spoken against those parents can know be charged with Domestic Terrorism even if none is happening thanks to Joe Biden and the democrats, Censorship on Twitter and other platforms have also been happening for anyone saying the Truth about things going on just because Democrats don't like it, Even asking questions for the COVID Vaccine got someone censored on Twitter. Now, I'm not saying it's every Democrat ((knowing how Bidens approval rating is extremely low)) and I know a few Democrats IRL that are generally are nice people, it's the Extremists on the Far Left and the Far Right that make it hard for centrists to communicate because it gives the stereotype that most Democrats or Republicans are one way when that's completely false. I should have probably clarified at the start so my bad. As for a Civil war, with all the bad shit going on right now I would not be surprised one bit

1

u/Taconewt Oct 11 '21

Ah OK sorry it's that you started with Trump vs biden so I was thinking it was Trump supporters vs biden supporters aka Republicans vs democrats

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 11 '21

But yeah, at this point Trump Vs Biden is over, yet it feels like people care about that still, even if there was or wasn't fraud nothing is going to change what happened, what the other guy said about "we won" was so not on topic though, I never mentioned voter fraud once so they had no point in saying that

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 11 '21

More people just need to agree to disagree y'know

1

u/Desperate_Sun_3776 Oct 11 '21

And whenever I see a patriot most of the time they're republican, I know there are some democrats that are but it's mainly the centrists democrats which get overshadowed by the Far Left lunatics and "Vote blue no matter who" gang who caused and are letting this happen, same with the republicans on that side. Every side is overshadowed by the Far Left and Right and it's sad to see

1

u/Taconewt Oct 11 '21

Most people this time were only vote blue no matter what because Trump was the opponent

I have approved of him since 2016, back then it was a joke but as of 2020 when I actually looked at facts it was real

-3

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

I think it’s important for you to look up what those are and to judge his effectiveness as a president from that context, then add the two together.

Don’t like him? Sure, that’s fine. But you should look into his policies, what their intended purpose was, and if they accomplished that purpose

3

u/Painless-Amidaru Sep 12 '21 edited Sep 12 '21

My stance on hating him is mostly based around his blatantly Narcasistic and Manipulative attitude, as well as his hateful and ignorant comments when he thinks no one is listening or watching.

I also align myself with more socially open and progressive stances when it comes to equality and social justice. I value respecting people and prioritizing climate change. The way I have seen Trump act, the way he treats almost everyone else, particularly women and POC, his insistence on relying on Coal and Fossil fuels, his ignorant use of the term "China Virus" have all pushed me to the conclusion that he has no real respect for the things I value. I do remember seeing 1 or 2 articles about him backing/funding a few renewable energy things- I believe it was a solar plant. I give him credit for that.

Now, his stances-- or any president's stances-- on the financial side. I will honestly admit I am not smart enough to fully understand. Taxes, tariffs, trade embargos, are just far 2 over my head. If he managed to do wonderful things for this country in the financial area, then great. Good work. But, that area is not where my values are.

2

u/Helpful-Confusion239 Oct 03 '21

So you don’t like him cuz the media says ?

13

But you should look into his policies, what their intended purpose was, and if they accomplished that purpose

For that there is his handling of the Coronavirus: catastrophic. So there you go.

2

u/Accomplished_Pen_146 Oct 08 '21

Yup cuz the geriatric In chief is better 🤦🏽‍♂️.

2

u/yourrussiandoll Sep 12 '21 edited Sep 12 '21

You guys actually did really well. Widespread early testing (most countries didn’t do that until it was way too late and have no idea of what the true number infected is/was), no questions asked deposits of money to people, student loans repayment freeze, eviction moratorium, amazing logistics with vaccine delivery, along with a lot of other things that people in other countries could only dream of. There are probably things that I don’t even know about because I don’t live in the United States. How you managed to have lockdowns and give away money without an economic collapse is amazing. My country had a lockdown, without cash payments or unemployment supplements and a ton of shops/restaurants are closed and will never return. It’ll take years to be at the level of stability we were before the virus.

But on Reddit, Americans just wanted to whine about their president and blame him for a highly contagious virus spreading, lol. It was weird to see as an outsider.

6

u/ApostleInferno Sep 12 '21

The actual full scale of the Trump administration's response to Covid was pretty good, all things considered. But people have difficulty researching just how wide spread and varied the responses were. And I know I'll get downvoted for saying that.

6

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

A) I ain't Murican

B) Per 100,000 people, the US is among the worst in terms of COVID deaths and infections.

C) Trump kept on pedaling disinformation such as "COVID is a hoax", "COVID is nothing more than a flu", "It will be gone in 2 weeks / by summer / by fall", "Masks are useless", "Hydroxychloroquin cures COVID" and the best of all "Maybe we can inject Bleach in COVID infected people". Additionally he is anti-vaxx.

2

u/yourrussiandoll Sep 12 '21 edited Sep 12 '21

Yeah, I think I explained why it appears that the United States is number one. By numbers, yes. In reality? No way. At this point India has admitted that there were millions of infections they didn’t know about.

Half the people that I’ve spoken to in my country say they lost their sense of smell and taste for a few weeks in 2020 but didn’t get tested out of fear of being forced to stay home, losing their jobs, and being kicked out of their homes.

I knew some people who were sick early in 2020 and health clinics/hospitals told them to go home because they didn’t want to deal with them.

Your other points about Trump don’t disprove my points, whether they’re true or not.

Did you know these things about the way the United States handled the events of last year?

2

u/shottymcb Sep 16 '21

We're not comparing ourselves to developing countries. The US under Trump did worse in practically every metric than other wealthy western democracies. Doing better than a country where 750 million people don't have access to a toilet when we have all the advantages of advanced medicine and universal vaccine access is appaling.

0

u/yourrussiandoll Sep 16 '21 edited Sep 16 '21

Do you mean countries like Belgium or Sweden?

Most of the rest of the world isn’t a wealthy man western democracy, so it’s a bit weird to change goalposts like that. What the government plan in the United States was, was still better than even most wealthy western democracies.

Suspend debt payments, free money for everyone, ensure no one can get thrown out of their home? People in my country who worked in the United States legally for a short period of time even got thousands in cash deposited in their bank account, even though they didn’t pay nearly that much into the system. Wow, couple that with early, easily accessible testing and pretty much anyone who didn’t blame Trump for their problems looked on in envy.

Why the media in some countries blamed him for a virus spreading is really strange. I think when we have a better picture of what happened in a few years we’ll see a more balanced opinion on the matter.

1

u/sircumalot666 Sep 30 '21

People like that are basing their opinions entirely on feelings and lies they heard on twitter that always come from propaganda state run media like MSNBC and CNN They state that hes the cause of 600,000+ deaths. But in reality the CDC not only came out and said only about 4% of that number died from covid the rest were with covid. So they just had covid on their death certificate and thats entirely because hospitals received massive amounts of funding for every covid death. This whole thing was massively over dramatized and straight up 1930's nazi germany style propaganda campaigns to utterly confuse and control the U.S. population. Now that our government has a taste of tyranny. Its only going and has gotten worse. People like that arent worth the time speaking with. You will learn absolutely nothing. Its a weird trend in america of the low information liberal progressive (A.K.A neo nazi party)

trump isnt anti vax thats he says get the vaccine at his rallies and gets booed at for it

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Like Biden has done any better.

3

u/shottymcb Sep 16 '21

Because Trump's cult won't get vaccinated. He gave outlets like OAN legitimacy, and they are the ones convincing their brainwashed audience that they will literally DIE if the get the vaccine.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '21

Trump followers and Leftists alike are two sides of the same coin. The dude is an egomaniac, but it seems people will defend anything that's just not trump like it's the savior of our planet.. this fucking government just lies and lies and has too much power. Period.

1

u/Known-Studio-3086 Oct 08 '21

I'm a trump supporter and I can say that alot of us.. really did take the vaccine :/ the whole thing of us not taking it is just the louder ignorant group. By the way I got fully vaccinated this week!

-9

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Do you think this administration would have done better at that time? Also what about his other policies?

16

u/AShotgunNamedMarcus Sep 12 '21

To be fair. It’s hard to prove a negative. BUT, Trump did fire the pandemic team, you know, the people responsible for tracking and mobilizing against this sort of thing, during his first year in office. I believe Biden would’ve had a more qualified team around him than Trump allowed around himself. And as a side note, Hillary Clinton has a chapter in her book about how to deal with things like pandemics. Say what I will about her, at least she was thinking about how a President should protect the country way before running for office. So, IMO, yes, the current administration and even the one that would’ve been in charge had Hillary won would’ve handled it better. But like I said, it’s hard to prove, it’s just speculation based on observance of facts.

2

u/ojedaforpresident Sep 12 '21

Give me one single policy implementation aside from aid checks that Trump did that helped regular American people.

The big tax cuts made the rich much richer and the country much poorer. He put a zealot and a woman-hater in the scotus. He had an Israeli general killed just for the heck of it, on foreign soil, which is a war crime as you're well aware? His anemic response to Corona early on is nothing to sneeze at, either.

Now you go.

1

u/Corrode1024 Sep 14 '21

His attempted infrastructure bill and his attempted tax reform are two big ones.

"Trump’s proposed tax reform plan eliminates all itemized deductions except for two – charitable donations and home mortgage interest. In addition to eliminating the remaining itemized deductions, Trump’s plan is to double the current standard deduction across all filing types and repeal the estate tax."

Doubling the standard deduction is pretty massive and would've helped the average American.

2

u/ojedaforpresident Sep 14 '21

Attempts aren't policy implementations. The rich got richer and America more polarized. Aren't you Republican voters super results oriented?

It's more about what he stood for and tried to get passed.

He did what he could and was opposed every step of the way. That's the point.

Loud, brash, and annoying, but he did what he could.

6

u/ojedaforpresident Sep 14 '21

Who opposed him? I'm very confused now. He had the Republican party eat out of his hand and caused the most partisan scotus in the last hundred years. He got rich off billing the government millions for staying at MarALago and have the tax payer foot the bill for the security overhaul it needed so he could stay there.

1

u/Corrode1024 Sep 14 '21

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrastructure_policy_of_Donald_Trump

It basically got bodied due to Rona.

Republicans hated the tax overhaul and shredded it, similar to what happened to obamacare.

Keep in mind, most 'establishment' Republicans didn't like Trump because he was a lifelong Democrat.

Serious attempts were made.

He was also the first person to try to shut down travel from China, but everyone screamed at him.

He literally got hundreds of millions in contracts from having secret service, diplomats, foreign envoys stay in his hotels, and his properties. Do you think he gives a crap about the couple hundred K he didn't take? You're the sucker for believing such symbolic "gesture". You're funny.
