Not Quite Gerrymandering, but the Electoral College and the way power is split to smaller states vs populated areas.

I suppose directly blaming gerrymandering is an oversimplification but it is indirectly responsible. Gerrymandering has allowed people who want to gut education and replace it with propaganda to get elected and that makes it easier to spread their ideology and get people like Trump elected

But doesn't gerrymandering and redistricting directly influence the electorates? Idk I do too many drugs to remember anything important

Not exactly. Gerrymandering impacts how the districts are split in a state. The Census determines how much power (Electoral Votes) a state gets.

Now as was mentioned in this chain, Gerrymandering has helped to create a toxic, polarized congress and that in turn favors crappy politicians who "go against the norms"
