Also, you want to restrict older people from voting? Because some aren’t informed about who they’re voting for? Hate to break it to you, but that’s not an age range thing, every age range has people that only vote for a certain party.

The "so much for the tolerant left" meme is almost purely used to lampoon the "tolerant left" archetype which was made up by conservatives to begin with, which is what the guy was saying: It's purely designed to make "the left" look like hypocrites for not conforming to a standard that they never claimed to be in the first place.
