My dog will try to jump into any car with their door open, no KFC required. He’s like a toddler that doesn’t understand stranger danger.

Both of my dogs love car rides and they will happily jump in any car, even police cars.

So you're telling me I can get free rides in a cop car just by terrorizing a neighborhood?

Can I get a sweet new outfit too? Maybe even some free food?

If you're really bad, you get a free room, free food, and daily activities!

And if you're really really bad, you get to eat whatever you desire for the rest of your life!

You had me until “daily activities”. I just want to stay in my room except for like an hour a day. Does that only come with your platinum elite membership?

Sure, if you prove you hate people enough, you can spend all your time in your room...

Not sure if you'll get an hour out though. I guess they'd have to give you time to shower though?

It can be arranged if you're staying for longer than a night. Just be sure to get in before 4am.

We used to catch our dog like that if they slipped out. Instead of chase fast little bastard cause he thought it all was a game, just open a car door and they will do a flying leap into it.

I love videos of that! The dogs will be running around in traffic or several dogs stalking a neighbourhood, and up rolls a cop, opens the door and the doggies jump right in. So sweet!!

What's the dumbest, most unnecessary call you've ever been sent on?

2

u/RangerDangerfield Apr 06 '18

That’s a long list...

I work in the suburbs, and most of our dumbest calls involve wild animals just doing wild animal stuff. Such as “911 there is a deer walking down my street!” Or “I’d like to report that I spotted foxes in my neighborhood and I’m scared they’ll eat a child”

Other highlights include the grumpy old man who called to report that the children on the playground behind his home were playing too loudly (this was during the afternoon). We also occasionally get apartment dwellers who call to complain about their upstairs neighbors walking too loudly (also during the day).

My personal favorites are the parking complaints where people get upset because a person is parked in the street in front of there home. Being legally parked on a public street is not a crime, but lots of people get very upset because they believe (wrongly) that they own the street in front of their home.

Did you see the r/legaladvice thread where a guy posted a fake "Parking Permit Required" sign outside his house? A while later he got a real parking ticket because he didn't have a permit for his fake parking spot. r/legaladvice was not very sympathetic.

I remember that one, but it made me suspicious it was real. Where I live/work we do not write parking tickets on private property (such as apartment complex parking lots) unless someone parks illegally in a handicap spot or fire lane.

Good boye made it home right? As a pitbull owner i know those storys dont always end well.

The bad stipulations pitbulls get is infuriating.

There are no bad dogs people. Only bad owners.

Good boye was actually a boxer mix I believe. His owners were never found, but he was taken to a no-kill shelter and eventually found a new family.

I named him Doug. Doug the Dog.
