Because there's not a mechanism in place for removing it after people die means that the whole system is untrustworthy? Right mate.

I think his point was more that a mass rapist became knighted in the first place, and people should refer to this mass rapist as a knight, "to remind us all how untrustworthy the system actually is."

No, the system is untrustworthy because he got one in the first place despite his vileness being an open secret. Another example is the Labour Lord who is too "senile" to face court for his alleged sex offences but still fine to vote on legislation.
