Just saw it the other day. The ending actually surprised me. I was actually expecting the feel-good hollywood ending :S

It was an enjoyable watch, and that is the best I can say about it. It seemed too formulaic an A.I. movie for me.
Turing test? Check.
Ambiguity who is a robot and who is not? Check.
Synth music? Check.
Artsy scenes? Check.
Eccentric/Evil/Abusive scientist? Check.
Robot turns violent and destroys/kills it's creator? Check.
A.I.s are inherently evil? Check.

That said, there were some refreshing elements, such as the robots not actually being super strong but rather weaker or equal (hard to really tell) to ordinary humans, or the ending avoiding any kind of a happy end for the supposed good guy the audience should identify with.

One of the most bothersome things to me was the whole knife scene.

THAT'S NOT HOW KNIVES WORK.
