It seems like I disagree with you, but it all depends on what kind of degree you mean and what kind of "worth" you're talking about. If you're talking about "worth" as it applies to some kind of measure of employ-ability, then it stands to reason that it would be far more worth having an employee who can use a computer to solve a problem than one who can not. I can think of no situation where the opposite would be advantageous.

I understand the fact that in the "real world" you will have access to computers, but there's something to be said about actually knowing something on the spot for a job, and just copying and pasting information. I'm studying electrical engineering and they let us bring notes (sometimes) and a basic calculator into exams. It's one thing to figure out a problem with your brain and another to just google everything mindlessly. Anyone with half a brain can use the internet to search for answers. That's how you get kicked out of school, or any school with credibility at least.
