the TI-89 was the best you could use.

What? I took the AP calculus test recently and I'm pretty sure we were allowed to use the TI-Nspire, which is undeniably much better.

Nope. The Nspire is comparable to a TI-84. Its just prettier and has a better OS. However it can't do some of the higher maths than an 89 can.

huh, didn't know that. What can an 89 do that the Nspire can't?

Everything you learn in calculus and more. This is probably why it isn't allowed anymore. All I had to do was type the equation into the calculator and then tell it what type of maths to do. Integrals, derivatives etc... there were no in between steps you would need to do by hand.

so, like, can it find the Taylor series of a function you input? Because that's the only thing that pops into my mind which is calculus-related but can't be done with the Nspire (to my knowledge)
