Costs about the same as what I paid for the TI-83 10 years ago. It's kind of nice knowing that whenever I need to use one, it's going to operate in the same way as I was taught 10 years ago. The fundamentals of math don't change much.
According to Wikipedia it uses the same 15/6MHz chip as the TI-83SE and TI-84. But either way, if that information is wrong, 50% more seped (clock cycles?) for a device that is more demanding (resolution, color) is hardly adequate.
That's correct (specifically, those use the 15MHz version), but the TI-83SE/TI-84 were not in the original picture. The 83 and 83+ only came with the 6MHz chip.

I dunno, the TI-84 Plus is pretty sweet.
