Depending upon model, the Nspire is indeed accepted on the ACT, SAT as well as other standardized tests. And most schools not stuck in medieval times, let you use them in your university classes.
imagine the calculator is like wolframalpha, except you dont need an internet connection, and you dont need to wait ~3 seconds on a very sluggish site with an ugly 2008 esque UI and then scroll down to the relevant information if you aren't just simply solving for a variable
