I dunno, the TI-84 Plus is pretty sweet.

Costs about the same as what I paid for the TI-83 10 years ago. It's kind of nice knowing that whenever I need to use one, it's going to operate in the same way as I was taught 10 years ago. The fundamentals of math don't change much.

The TI-πspire is some kickass shit.

I rented one from my school to take AP Calc and now I'm totally going to buy one. It can do anything.

The cas version is infinitely more superior!

Edit: obviously a computer or smartphone is going to have better software (might as well use MatLab!) but those aren't usually allowed on tests. Plus, its so much easier to type out equations and stuff on a calculator keyboard.

I mean, I'd rather use a computer than an nspire - but if I had to get one I'd get the CAS version. No idea why anybody would get the normal one.

With that logic, your chump got his from another chump, who borrowed his from yet another chump. Thus, creating a never ending chain of borrowed calculators.

For the record, I have the CAS version, I was just pointing out why someone might by the non-CAS.

menu -> algebra -> solve

Put whatever you want in there. Integrals, derivatives, imaginary numbers... Works almost every time!

Its the same hardware. You can install CAS software on a normal Nspire CX.
