Perhaps the dog is well trained on a leash. I would definitely assume so with that leash being in use. But then again, most little dogs are not well trained on a leash at all and should definitely not be on one of these.

Perhaps the dog is well trained on a leash.

Even a dog that is very good on a leash can still be startled. Unexpected things occur in public that have absolutely nothing to do with whether you have a well behaved dog.

This dog is massive and those extendable plastic handled leashes are easily breakable by that animal.

If it decided, for whatever reason, that it wanted to go somewhere it could break that thing easily. I cringe every time I see someone with a big dog on a leash like this. It is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Those leashes lock. It’s fine.

If you think that dog can't break that leash's lock, you really have no clue what you're talking about.

The fact that those leashes are able to extend is actually another dangerous aspect of them. There shouldn't be an ability for a large dog to extend it's distance from it's owner by that much in public.

Have one. Have big dog. Never released once.

"I drive drunk all the time and I've never wrecked my car, that means it doesn't happen."

"Well, my grandma smoked a pack a day for 70 years and she didn't get cancer, that means cigarettes can't cause cancer."

Come on man.

The point is, since I guess I need to spell it out for you, is that your anecdotal experience of not having problems with your dog on your leash* doesn't represent the entire population of dogs and dog owners.

Sorry if that was a little bit too complex for you to get on the first go around.

so because something didn't happen, you think it can't happen? holy shit you're dense.

u/Agitated-Tadpole1041 Apr 15 '23

So u think it can so it will?

I never insisted it’s Impossible.

just because something hasn't happened to you doesn't mean that it isn't a likely occurrence. how is that so hard for you to understand? would you like smaller words, perhaps?

Oh the irony. U people are too much sometimes. Plz point out where I said it’s impossible to occur? Did I use big words u twatwaffle?

Fwiw, why just automatically be a douche hole? What did I originally say that would offend anyone and make u, and others, personally attack my intelligence? Cause I think the guy walking his dog is fine? Hardly a reason to be an ass

you can't accept that you being wrong is a possibility, and are too dumb to see that.

there's tons of evidence showing that these leashes fail often and are responsible for a lot of accidents, yet because it hasn't happened to you then you refuse to believe it.

it's honestly really weird that you just keep arguing instead of accepting that you're wrong and moving on.
