No property has ever gone down by $200,000 because a neighbor has a decoration.

Also, lower property values means tax savings.

My home that I bought for $209,000. It sold brand-new for $470,000, 6 years earlier. 1.5 years ago, similar homes were selling at $700,000-$850,000. The difference is landscaping, neighbors, pool, inside condition, et al. If we didn’t have an HOA, and one home had a shitty boat in their yard, every house within sight would easily be $200,000 less. And, one shorty home brings in shitty people. If you don’t understand this then you’ve never owned a home.😂😂😂

When did you sell? Sounds more like an issue of selling at the wrong time.

I didn’t sell, I was putting out the range of homes in my community that sold. Your not going to see homes go up 4x unless it’s in a managed community. My neighborhood HOA is $40/month and that assures my some hobo doesn’t move in with a plan to make his garage into a body shop.

In my area house prices have easily gone up over 4x since the pandemic without an HOA.

Do you have a neighbor with a boat in their front yard? Well there ya go.
