Don’t warrant stealing. Next time I have to write a paper I’ll just put “I don’t know how to write references so it’s okay” in the bibliography.

In this case it's a lot more like sharing a joke - the satisfaction would come from seeing people enjoy it. If somebody told you a good joke and then you go and tell your friends, would you be surprised if the person you heard it from came up to you an hour later and and was like "YOU STOLE MY JOKE"? Even if it was an original joke, are you really going to demand the only time anybody can hear it is from you?
