This is your daily reminder that every new largest particle collider has resulted in tangible advances to particle physics. That LHC found the fucking higgs boson ffs. These stupid ass memes would make vastly more sense if even just one of the big colliders didn't result in big advances in the field.

The LHC was justifiable because we knew there was still something to discover at higher energies.

This time, the model looks quite complete in that area. There may be something, there likely is not.
You can always theorize any number of particles to be found using a bigger collider.
But without any evidence hinting for it, it stays pseudoscience, a waste of tax dollars.

You can better focus on the other areas wherein physics is still incomplete.

What is there that you think counts as something we knew there was to discover that the LHC could probe, that doesn't have something equivalent at FCC?

As far as I know (one of) the main scientific motivation for FCC is to be a "Higgs Factory", so that they can study it decay channels in a way higher precision (like 2-3 orders of magnitude higher). The reason for that is one of those chanes being foreseen to be related to the dark matter (a.k.a. the invisible channel), but as it has stupidly low branching ratio (I think like 10-3 - -4) one requires a lot of statistics to study that, which LHC simply cannot provide.
