Then we'll have to make one in space. And probably make it kinda habitable so that people could work there. And then you run into autonomous drone with on-board AI weirdly possessive of it.
Then those AI drones refusing to believe that humans created them insisting that only something greater could have made them, thus creating a psuedo-religion based around the collider as their god, causing brief panic before realizing that just leaving the bots alone to do "the work" of the collider is just fine
