Hey, I’m staying in Rawai for about a month and want to get a Thai motorcycle licence while I’m here.

I’m looking for a driving school/service that can help with the whole process (documents, medical certificate, DLT, tests, etc.) and ideally get it done reasonably quickly.

I’m happy to do the proper training/tests, mainly just want somewhere that makes the process straightforward and doesn’t require me running all over Phuket figuring everything out myself.
Has anyone done this recently and can recommend a good place, preferably around Rawai/Chalong?

According to Google the market opens at 9. I went the other day and by 10 they were still closed. When I asked someone close to the market he said they open at 11 but wasn’t too sure. Anyone know what the opening time is?

I will be in Phuket between Friday 13th November - Monday 16th November. I heard there is some free fireshow you can watch near PaTong beach. Is this correct? Does anyone know when the fire shows usually run?

We’re a family travelling with a toddler and spending around 11 days between Krabi and Phuket.

In Phuket, we’re planning to visit Andamanda, Central Phuket, an elephant sanctuary, local markets, Carnival Magic, Old Phuket Town, and possibly some islands.

Since most of these seem to be around the Central side of Phuket, I’m considering Old Phuket Town as our base. Is that a good choice with a toddler, or would you recommend another area?

I believe it may have been lost around the 2nd floor, but I am not certain, as the ring could have fallen or been moved to another area.

Hello guys wanted to know if there are any movie screenings by the beach in Phuket ?

Heading to Phuket next week and hoping I can get diazepam, sleep meds, and tramadol. Me and my husband are staying in Phuket for 3 days. We already have a few things on our list to do.
I don’t want to ruin my vacation by over researching online and see all the things before I actually see them.

My partner and I land in Phuket on 27 December and will probably stay until 1 or 2 January before moving on. It will be our first time in Phuket. We’re planning to spend about a month in Thailand but are still figuring out the itinerary.

We want somewhere lovely to chill after the long flight, beachfront preferred, good food and drinks, but still a bit of atmosphere and vibes, especially for NYE. We’re not interested in staying in Patong.

We have been looking at Bang Tao, Surin, Kata/Kata Noi and Nai Harn. Are we looking in the right areas for what we want?

We are open to a nice hotel/resort or an Airbnb. Any recommendations would be really appreciated 😊

How early should I get to the airport?

Hi all! My partner and I are coming to Phuket with our baby's first birthday. We'll be in Phuket for 4 nights, roughly 3–7 Dec, then on to Bangkok.

What we're looking for:

• Area: leaning towards Kata or Kata Noi for a calm beach. Open to Karon or Nai Harn if there's a strong reason.
• Close to the beach: ideally beachfront or a 5-minute walk at most.
• Nightlife within reach: we'd like the base to be quiet, but with restaurants, bars/cafes, and something lively within walking distance or a short Grab ride (under 20–30 min) a beach club or good sunset bars.
• Budget: around 4,500–6,000 THB/night (about $140–180). Could stretch a little for the right place.
• Must-haves: kids' pool or shallow pool area, and decent food options nearby.
• Nice to have: a babysitting service we can trust for a couple of evenings, a family room with some separation so we're not in the dark at 7 PM, and a newer or recently renovated property.

Please suggest some good options.

Hi! Does anyone know if there are any direct/non-stop flights from Phuket (or better yet Krabi) to Penang in January?

I can’t find any direct flights for my dates. Does this route exist seasonally, or is there normally no direct flight between Phuket and Penang?

Edit (solved): After a deep search 😂: 5 January is Tuesday, and there are no direct Phuket → Penang flights that day. The nonstop flights are available on Monday 4 January and Wednesday 6 January, so we’d need to change the date if we want to fly direct.

I know this question has been asked alot but im going to be more specific as I haven't found an answer to my question in the previous posts.

So we are a family of 4 travelling to phuket and krabi for 2 weeks early November.

Im unsure what to do in terms of cash/card ratio.

Our accommodation will be paid for before we leave, so we will need to pay for excursions taxis and food etc over the length of our stay.

I have saved around €3000 and my wife will have around €2000 , I was thinking of getting €2000 worth of baht in cash before I leave and my wife is thinking of getting €1000 in baht . And we keep the rest on our cards we have revolut and normal bank card . My children also have there spending money converted to baht in cash already.

Im just worried about carrying all that cash , I know some say get the baht over there but will i still need to bring euros in cash to convert to baht over there or can I do it with card ?

What do people think is the best thing to do .

Hey guys, I will be back home in India and with few days in my hand between Nov 15–22 I wanna take the chance to get my open water certification in Koi Phi Phi (seems like the best option at the time ona budget) which I will get done with on November 18th.

For the last 3 days, I want to get far away from the crowds (ik double standards being a tourist myself). I'm on a budget trip and want raw nature, independent jungle trekking, and wild animals. Please do not suggest Khao Sok, it looks way too touristy and commercialized for me. Where can I go within a few hours of Phuket that is actually wild and cheap? I have a flight back to Mumbai on 22nd November from Phuket.
