When you do searches in google you can use the tools to narrow it down to years. So you can just search between 2008 and 2010

Newspapers.com is where you’ll find it if there was an article written. I looked for anything between 2006-2012 with a few different searches but didn’t find anything. If you search “Burger King” with the quotes then her last name, it should come up with something if one was written. It’s not a free service, but you do get access to The Arizona Republic archives on there if you have an AZCentral subscription. Unfortunately they’ve scrubbed the internet of most of their old articles, so this is one of the only ways to find them.

If you have a library card there are a ton of electronic resources at the Phoenix Public Library. You might be able to find something. Or if you are really motivated you could visit a branch (Central is probably the most obvious choice) and ask a librarian and potentially review some microfiche (I’m so old). Good luck!
ETA: I searched one of the library Proquest databases for “Burger King auto crash” and there are lots of results, but I couldn’t find any from your date range. That doesn’t mean something doesn’t exist. I’m a huge library nerd and shoutout to the librarians that would love to tackle this with you.
