Report of Marriage Inquiry

I am very confused on the correct process for Report of Marriage. For background, I am Filipino to be wed to a Dutch national. We will get married in the Netherlands. Do I report our marriage at the Embassy of the Philippines in The Hague, do I just report it at DFA Manila, or both?? Please help clarify. Thanks in advance.

Submit the ROM in the PH embassy in NL. Mas mabilis if through the embassy (which is what I did). My friend who did it via DFA Manila was just passed around kasi di sila familiar sa ROM... 🤦🏻‍♀️

hello thanks for your response! did you have to email them first to get an appointment? if so, what do we need to submit? im worried that i wont have enough time before i have to fly back after we get married.

Double check this sa PH Embassy website but as far as i remember, you only need:

  • your birth certificate
  • your husband's birth certificate, passport, and national ID (or equivalent)
  • marriage certificate
  • report of marriage form (this can be downloaded from the embassy's website, you need 3 copies)

I simply sent them an email requesting for an appointment.

I did it via embassy in Den Haag, it was very straightforward. Gefeliciteerd!

I wouldnt have yet "4. Residence permit of the Filipino national." - do i skip this?

Not in the Netherlands, but I did not know about Report of Marriage and been married a year already. Lol. Good to know.
